Go hug your Non-Gestating Parent today!

Thanks to Albany Democrats, “Dad” is getting a government rebrand. A bill on Hochul’s desk would replace “father” with “non-gestating parent” in state law. This year’s Father’s Day card lineup, presumably:

🎁 “World’s #1 Alleged Parent”
🎁 “Some Call You Dad, the State Calls You a Compliance Update”
🎁 “Happy Parentage Day”

Three GOP state senators are urging Gov. Hochul to veto the bill.

Words matter. Tell Hochul to veto this bill and let dads stay dads.

Battery storage facilities near schools. Dispensaries anywhere. Costly electric bus mandates. Decision after decision from politicians who don’t live here and don’t know our streets.

Mount Pleasant chose strong leadership for a reason:

✅ BESS facilities — banned
✅ Ma*****na dispensaries — blocked
✅ Electric bus mandates — fought with Town resolution
✅ Police Department — expanded, not defunded
✅ School Resource Officers — protecting our kids
✅ Local control — defended at every turn

Keeping local control means the decisions that shape your daily life are made by people who actually live here - who know your streets, your schools, and your community. They make decisions based on local impacts and resident feedback - not what Albany says!

To every parent, taxpayer, and community member in Mt. Pleasant who made a call, sent an email, filled out a form, or showed up to speak: THANK YOU. And a special thanks to our Town Supervisor Carl Fulgenzi for standing up for our residents - proactively.

This was never about being against clean energy. It was about cold weather concerns, infrastructure gaps, massive costs, and unproven technology carrying our kids.

Never underestimate what a few minutes of action can accomplish.
