📡 Big Things Are Happening at Hickman Fire & Rescue! 🚒
Tonight, our department came together for training on our new radio system, which will officially go live on September 4. This is a major upgrade for our department—the first update to our radio system since 2001!
We are incredibly grateful to the Hickman Fire & Rescue Board for their support and generosity in making this investment possible. The new technology allows our radios to seamlessly transition between a radio tower and cellular network, helping ensure we have reliable communication and coverage when we need it most.
That capability is especially important in the rural areas we serve, where maintaining dependable communication can be challenging.
A special thank-you to Dan Ripley, who has been instrumental in helping get this new system up and running. Tonight’s all-department training gave our members the opportunity to learn the new system and make sure we’re ready to hit the ground running when we go live.
