🎃🚗 Slow Down—Trick-or-Treaters Are Out! 👻

Hickman and our surrounding communities get BUSY with trick-or-treaters on Halloween! Excited little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes are out collecting candy, and young children may forget to stop, look, and safely cross the street.

🚒 Help keep our little trick-or-treaters safe:
🎃 Slow down and drive extra cautiously in residential neighborhoods.
👀 Watch carefully for children crossing streets, especially between parked cars.
🚦 Expect the unexpected—kids may dart into the road without looking.
📵 Put your phone away and stay focused on the road.
💡 Turn on your headlights early to help you see children and help them see you.

🧡 A few extra minutes on the road is worth it if it keeps a child safe. Please slow down, stay alert, and help everyone enjoy a safe Halloween!

From your friends at Hickman Fire & Rescue—let’s keep our community safe, one little trick-or-treater at a time! 🚒👻

🎃👻 Stay Safe While Trick-or-Treating! 🍬🕸️

Halloween is full of fun, costumes, and candy, but safety should always come first! 🎃

🧡 Stay with a group and never wander off alone.
🔦 Bring a flashlight and stay on sidewalks whenever possible.
👀 Make sure you can see clearly out of your mask.
✨ Wear bright or reflective clothing so drivers can see you.
🏠 Never enter a stranger’s home or vehicle to get candy.

🚒 From all of us at Hickman Fire & Rescue, we hope everyone has a fun, safe, and spooktacular Halloween! Be aware, stay visible, and look out for one another! 👻🧡

🐱 Happy National Cat Day from Hickman Fire & Rescue!

Tubby the Fire Cat is always on duty! He stops by the station to check in on the crew, make sure the work is getting done, and remind everyone that there’s always time for a few pets, a break, and some snacks. 🐾

All joking aside, today is a great reminder that our pets are part of the family and deserve to be included in our fire safety plans, too.

From our crew to yours, give your furry family members a little extra love today! ❤️🐈

🚒🚑 Happy First Responders Day!

Today, we recognize and thank the first responders who show up when our community needs them most. From answering emergency calls to supporting our neighbors on their hardest days, these individuals give their time, skills, and compassion to serve others.

To our Hickman Fire & Rescue family and all first responders who serve our community and surrounding areas, thank you for being there when it matters most. ❤️💙

🚑 Training Night! 🚑

Our team spent training night restocking and checking our Basic Life Support (BLS) bags! From making sure supplies are complete and up to date to cleaning equipment and becoming familiar with where everything is located, these small steps make a big difference when seconds count.

Consistency, preparation, and teamwork help us be ready when our community needs us most! ❤️🚒

🎃🚒 Trick or Treat the Station was a success!

We had a great time seeing all the cute, creative, and scary costumes! Events like this are about more than candy, they’re about building connections with the community we’re proud to serve. We loved getting to meet so many kids, welcome families into the station, and give them an up-close look at our fire trucks and the people behind the uniforms.

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent part of your Halloween season with us! We love being part of this community and look forward to making more memories together! 🧡🖤

Early this morning, crews responded to a fully involved shed fire as part of the mutual aid requested from multiple departments. 🚒

When a call like this comes in, it’s all about teamwork. Departments showed up ready to help, haul water, and support one another. No matter the department, everyone had the same goal. That’s what mutual aid is all about—neighbors helping neighbors and working together when it matters most.
