This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country.

We remember them, and we stand with the families who live with that loss every day.

We will not forget them.

Please join us in a massive celebration for Lorraine, who just reached a phenomenal milestone of 1,750 hours of service! Our Area Director, Ashley (left), was honored to present Lorraine (right) with a special gift to commemorate this achievement.

Lorraine is the gold standard of what it means to be a USO Volunteer. She is a vital mentor to our newest volunteers, a compassionate guide for our military recruits, and a fierce advocate for transitioning service members. If there is a problem to solve or a resource to find, Lorraine is already on it. She doesn't just "show up." She steps up, building a network of support that makes our Center feel like home.

Lorraine, you aren’t just a volunteer; you are a cornerstone of USO Honolulu. Thank you for your unwavering dedication! 🌺⚓️

Join us in congratulating Melissa for surpassing 50 hours of volunteer service with USO Honolulu!

Melissa recently retired from the U.S. Navy as a nurse, and we love hearing the fascinating stories of the places she’s been and the lives she’s touched across the globe. Her mission of care continues right here at the USO, where she provides a steady hand and a warm heart for service members and their families navigating difficult transitions.

Melissa, thank you for your career of service and for choosing to spend your retirement making an impact with us! ⚓️❤️

Tuesdays are our biggest "behind-the-scenes" days. While our staff is out Center supply shopping and picking up donations, a dedicated crew stays back to handle the heavy lifting: unloading, carrying, and organizing everything to keep the Center stocked for our service members.

Today, we are celebrating two vital members of that Tuesday Crew who just hit major milestones:

Jerry: An incredible 1,250 hours! 🏆
Andy: A fantastic 50 hours! 🌟

Whether they’ve been with us for 50 hours or over 1,000, these two prove that volunteering is the best way to build fast friendships. There’s nothing like teamwork to turn a "task" into a "tradition."

Huge thanks to Jerry and Andy for their hard work! They are key members of the team that keeps our Tuesdays on track. We are truly grateful for the teamwork and camaraderie these two, and our entire Tuesday crew, bring to our USO family.

Finish this sentence: "Couples who volunteer together..."

Join us congratulating Juan for surpassing 250 hours of volunteer service at USO Honolulu. Juan is a man of many talents. In addition to supporting service members in our Center, he serves as our official "Center Handyman," dedicating his time and talents to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. 🛠️

When he and his fellow volunteer/wife Judy aren't at USO Honolulu, you can find them enjoying all that Hawaii has to offer. Both being retired Navy, they enjoy listening and sharing stories of military life with service members in our Center.

Thank you, Juan, for your hard work and your heart for the mission! 🎊

Huge congratulations to Michael for hitting 500 volunteer hours with the USO! 🎊

As an active-duty sailor and a father of two, Michael’s schedule is packed; yet he still prioritizes giving back to the military community here at USO Honolulu. This kind of personal sacrifice is what builds the bridge of camaraderie within our Center walls.

Thank you, Michael, for your tireless dedication to your fellow service members! ⚓️❤️

He has a true thirst for service in our Center. He’s a master in the kitchen, keeping our service members fed with delicious hot sandwiches and garlic bread. We’re so lucky to have your talent and humor on the team, David!
