Founded in 1976 with 1 truck, we now have 5 stations housing 15 aparatus with approximate 35 volunteer firefighters.

9/29/26 at 10:15 am Morning Star Fire was dispatched at a bucket truck on fire in the 5200 block of E Grand Ave. Firefighters arrived to find the rear of the truck involved in fire. There were no injuries. Engine 1, Engine 8, Brush 1 responded.

9/28/2026 at 3:11 am Morning Star Fire was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover accident at E Grand and Cloud Nine. The driver struck a deer and left the roadway rolling the vehicle. Pafford EMS responded. There were no injuries. Rescue 6 and Rescue 7 responded.

9/24/2026 at 12:34 pm Morning Star Fire was dispatched to a structure fire off Westinghouse Dr. Upon arrival firefighter found a metal barn type structure with heavy smoke and fire showing. There were no injuries. Lake Hamilton Fire responded via automatic aid with an engine and personnel. Pafford EMS was on scene along with Garland County Sheriffs Office. Engine 8, Engine 1 and Rescue 6 responded. Thanks to Arkansas 911 News for the photos.

919/2026 at 4:50 pm Morning Star Fire responded to a mutual aid request from Fountain Lake Fire for a structure fire. Engine 8 and personnel responded.

9/17/2026 Our Thursday night training was part ladder training and part maintenance. Firefighter Wes Moore trained some of our newer firefighters on ladders. After training they utilized the ladders to clean the station gutters. Great job.

9/15/2026 Morning Star First Responders were recognized for life saving actions. On August 8,2026 they responded to a call of a patient who had a severe laceration to their arm. Our responders controlled bleeding by applying a tourniquet. The patient was ultimately transferred to UAMS for advanced treatment. The UAMS Trauma team and CHI St Vincent’s Trauma team recognized these responders with a golden tourniquet. 9/15/2025 at 4:39 pm Morning Star Fire was altered to a wreck at Remmel Dam Rd and Hwy 270. We were already working another wreck about a mile west of this in front of Renolyds Metals on Hwy 270. LifeNet EMS responded. Rescue 7 and Engine 1 responded.
