Have you seen our flyer for this year's Summer Reading Program? It starts in a couple weeks! We will be posting an FAQ on Monday, but here's the basic information:
- Our annual Summer Reading Program is 5 1/2 weeks of reading, activities, and prize drawings. It is open to anyone age 0-18. Those who are too young to read on their own can participate by being read to.
- YOU decide how much you read! Pick a goal for how many books you would like to read over the 5 1/2 weeks. If you later feel that you won't make your goal or will surpass it, just let us know and we can adjust it. Summer is busy and any amount of reading is a plus in our eyes.
- Two formats, so you can pick what works best for your schedule. You can pick up a paper reading log and report on your books in-person. Or enter your books online through our Beanstack site, where you can also submit a book report. And reporting is optional.
- Registration is June 22nd-26th. You can register online or in-person. You can create a Beanstack account anytime, but you can't sign up for the program until registration week.
- This year's program theme is "Plant a Seed, Read!" Most activities, prizes, and displays will fit the theme.
