Maine authorities are offering a $3,000 reward for information about whoever illegally shot and killed a Canada lynx in Perham. The Canada lynx is a federally protected species.

At our monthly meeting, which was held Tuesday, October 14 at the PIPD, Aroostook County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors drew the winning ticket for the ISSC 22 caliber fire arm we’ve been selling tickets on.

Congratulations to Jamie Leavitt on winning the pistol!

Other winners:
Scott Kingsbury and Melissa Robinson each won a Pistol Cleaning Kit and Storage Box from the GunCare People, along with containers of Hoppes Lubricating Gun Oil.

Andy Lynds and Scott Allen each won a Rifle and Shotgun Cleaning Kit and Storage Box from the GunCare People, along with bottles/cans of Hoppes Lubricating Gun Oil.

The 34th annual Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament is done! What a beautiful weekend of golf we had! 68 teams took to the fairways in four flights, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. We couldn't have asked for better weather, better food, or a better turn out! We want to express our gratitude to the faithfuls that make it a point to show up every year, and we want to welcome on board the new faces that we met this year!
