Hello Families,

As Wednesday, August 5th approaches, our team is readily preparing to receive our new and returning scholars!!!

And, we are looking forward to meeting our parents/guardians at Open House.💕♥️

Here are a few 1st day reminders for our 1st-4th grade students:

🚌 Buses
We have eight buses assigned to our school:

Bus 75, Bus 101, Bus 139, Bus 294, Bus 304, Bus 328, Bus 344, and Bus 368

You may also find the morning pick up and evening drop off times on the Terrebonne Parish School Board’s website homepage under “Bus Routes/Daily Bus Changes.”

Bus routes are subject to minor changes and transportation needs are finalized after the school year begins.

Please check the TPSD website daily for route updates before and during the opening weeks of school.

🚗 Car Riders
The car rider line will begin after all buses have unloaded in the morning and loaded in the evening. A duty teacher will signal when the car rider line will begin. Car rider tags will be distributed at evening pick up.

Please be mindful not to block residential driveways.

⏰ School Hours

* Take-In Time: 8:05-8:25
* Tardy Bell: 8:25 a.m.
* Dismissal: 3:35 p.m.
* End-of-the Day Check-Out cut-off time is 3:00 pm.

📚First Day Assistance
On the first day of school, VES faculty and staff will be available to welcome students as they exit the buses and when they enter the building. Our team will assist students with finding their classrooms.

📝 Opening of School Paperwork
Important forms and information will be sent home with students during the first week of school. Please complete and return all required paperwork as soon as possible.

💙 Uniform, Booksacks, Personal Electronics:
* Uniform shirts:
Solid White or Solid Red
* Uniform bottoms:
Solid Blue
* Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are required.
* Booksacks: mesh or clear
* Personal electronic devices (cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds, tablets, etc.) are not permitted during the school day.
