Destined for Empowerment (DFE) Mission Statement:
Providing programs to improve the health, education & welfare of HTX communities.

DFE has been dedicated to serving the needs of low and moderate-income families and individuals. DFE's goal is to promote community welfare by providing employment and job readiness programs; work alone or with other organizations to assist in providing food and clothing for the community residents in the East Houston and surrounding areas; providing programs that will improve the health, educatio

n, and welfare of children, young adults, and senior citizens (55 years and older); provide teen pregnancy programs for children and youth; provide educational venues for current and future community leaders; provide any program(s) that will alleviate the needs of a stressed community while promoting community interest in neighborhood revitalization; and creating any and all programs necessary for urban renewal.
