Good morning!
Allow me to introduce myself. First & foremost, I’m a retired Army First Sergeant, and continue working for the military as a defense contractor – recruiting for KBR. Additionally, before joining KBR in 2019, I worked for the Fort Hood Transition Assistance Program for 12 years. I also served as TAP’s Marketing Coordinator for 5 of those years, bringing employers opportunities to Fort Hood and administrating all our career-related events. That said, I completely understand service members and the stress that surrounds nearly every aspect of transitioning back into civilian life.
I recruit for the Marines Corps’ Prepositioning Program (MCPP), which provides maintenance and logistics services for critical ground combat vehicles and support equipment for the Marines. In our Florida and overseas operations, we provide forward logistics support to the USMC in support of contingency operations and sustainment operations. While I recruit specifically for our Shipboard (deployed) assignments, we have opportunities on Camp Arifjan, Kuwait and in Jacksonville, Florida.
The majority our of jobs support ground vehicles and logistic (supply) operations, though as a global employer, KBR has opportunities for transitioners of nearly every military occupation. Our MCPP contract has an emphasis on Engineer (construction) Equipment, Tracked Vehicles, and all Wheeled Vehicles, but also looks for Radio Repair Techs, Ammo Techs, & Supply veterans.
If I can ask you to share our career flyer with your transitioning Soldiers, I’m available to answer their questions about our jobs and the application process. As a veteran, I hate to see any service member depart the military without a solid transition plan – meaning a career awaiting them and their family.
Thank you.
