HCDE's Special Schools serves students in over 25 school districts in Harris County and beyond. Every experience is designed to prepare students to return to their home campuses ready for success. HCDE's Special Schools are for young people with disabilities, those faced with addiction, and at risk youth.
Meet HCDE's November Employee of the Month, Executive Administrative Assistant Laura Aguirre. Laura started working with HCDE at 16, and in her 34 years here, she's become known for taking a simple idea and making it exceptional. Or, as her supervisor says, "she puts her Laura on it."
