“Bacon” is a girl potbelly pig! HPD waited until transportation was available and it turns out that BARC wasn’t able to make it out there. HCSO Deputies arrived with a trailer and well.... as you see, Bacon got gangsta for a brief moment . She is now in care of HCSO. No charges were filed against her. If you see her owner, please let them know she’s waiting for them!

"HOUSTON – KPRC 2 Investigates combed through court records and found some suspects are getting out of jail on bond over and over again in Harris County and then go on to be accused in a homicide.

After reviewing homicide cases for the last two years where murder charges were filed, there were 27 cases where a defendant was out of jail on two or more bonds at the time they were accused of killing someone."

Don't think that because a tint shop will install it, that it's legal. Know the legal limits. Window tint tickets can be very expensive and your illegal tint makes it harder to see in inclement weather and a night.

Additionally, the new trend of illegally tinting the entire windshield is also a safety issue for you and officers involved with you on traffic stops or other scenes.

Gerald Washington was out on bond for a murder charge and on probation for another crime when he killed Reginald Larry, who was headed to his grandmother's for Sunday dinner.

Instead of being in jail and off the streets, a Harris County soft-on-crime judge let Washington bond out. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office didn’t ask a judge to lock Washington up for violating his probation. Not long after, Washington cut off his GPS tracking device and fled. Washington was finally arrested yesterday after more than a year on the run. We hope Harris County judges have learned their lesson and that no bond is set for Gerald Washington.

Career Criminal Attacks Police Officer And Attempts To Disarm Him

Unprovoked attacks on law enforcement are increasing. A violent career criminal recently attempted to disarm and possibly murder a Harris County Pct 1 Deputy Constable, inside a busy shopping center. Thankfully one of our fellow Houston Police officers was nearby and able to help.

This career criminal, Jetavious Okwanna, has a lengthy rap sheet, include prior attacks on law enforcement. The Harris County DA's Office should pursue the maximum sentence on Jetavious Okwanna.

HOUSTON (KPRC2) – A violent night in Houston leads to concern and a call to action from law enforcement. Within the last 24 hours, there have been at least nine shootings, which have resulted in the deaths of at least three people.

“We haven’t seen this kind of violence, since the late 80s and early 90s when crack first hit the streets here in Houston,” said Doug Griffith, the president of the Houston Police Officers Union.

The volume of calls stretches the Houston Police Department then and puts Houstonians in danger, Griffith said.

“We are easily 2,000 officers down from what we should be,” he said. “Chicago has 12,000 police officers, with half the land area that we have. We have 5,000 for over 600 square miles.”

Griffith said he believes the violence is being caused by repeat offenders.

“I’ve been a gang officer since 1992 and I can tell you that the gang issue is one thing. The problem is we’re not keeping these kids or adults locked up. They get repeat bonds. I mean how many times have we seen this. We have over 90 people that were killed in Harris County alone in the last two years that were released on multiple felony bonds,” said Griffith.

HPD Chief Art Acevedo also weighed in on the crime issue.

“Our community/region had too much gun violence this weekend. (HPD) will work tirelessly to bring perpetrators to account, but we can’t do our best without the public. We also need to have risk and not cash-based assessments on bail for violent criminals. We must do this,” he shared on Twitter.

When you read the Houston news on a Saturday morning, it should not look like this. We need criminal justice reform in Harris County. We need to take our community back from the violent criminals that have become emboldened by activist judges and lax repercussions from their actions.

When there are no consequences for criminal behavior, violent crime will increase. What you allow, you encourage. #HarrisCountyDeservesBetter

A driver and two passengers found themselves jailed last week in Harris County after fleeing from Troopers in a Cadillac that was reported stolen.

During the arrest, Troopers saw a five-month-old child in the vehicle. As many of the Troopers on-scene were fathers, they immediately began caring for the baby. Once things settled down, the child found caring arms and a relaxing bottle.

When Troopers learned the family had only a few clothes for the child, they knew they had to act and donated clothes from some of their own children.

In the end, we are thankful no one was hurt and the child was safe and unharmed. #TexasTan

In 2010 Tyler Goodson went to prison for Robbery. In 2013 Goodson went back to prison for 6 years for another Robbery. Since then, he has picked up multiple felonies in Harris County but continues to be released on bond.
Today, Goodson was stopped in Montgomery County. Goodson and Rebecca Orange both had open warrants and refused to identify themselves. While the DPS Trooper was attempting to identify them, Orange fled on foot. Goodson put his truck in reverse-almost running over the Trooper and fled. A search is ongoing. Orange has been arrested but Goodson is still on the run.

Goodson’s Open Warrants in Harris County:
Felony Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (Auto Theft)
Felony Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (Auto Theft)
Driving While Intoxicated
Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Felony Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (Auto Theft)
Felony Unauthorized Use of a Mother Vehicle (Auto Theft)
Why does Harris County continue to allow repeat violent offenders out on multiple felony bonds when it’s clear that they’re NEVER going to comply with bond conditions?!?!?! None of this makes sense. We deserve to be protected!!! #HarrisCountyDeservesBetter #DPS #MCSO #HCSO

Houston Police Robbery

The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for an aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

On Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at around 7:00 pm, the complainant had arranged to meet with a male after inquiring about an iPhone that was on sell on an online selling app. The complainant met with the unknown male at the 9500 block of Fairland, in Houston, Texas. The complainant stated that the male met her at her vehicle, pulled out a handgun, and demanded her property. The complainant stated that at the same time, a second male arrived at the location in a blue Toyota Camry. Both males then searched the complainant along with her vehicle, looking for money. One of the suspects then got into the victims vehicle as the second suspect got back into the Toyota Camry and both suspects fled the scene, leaving the complainant on the street.

The victims vehicle was located unoccupied on January 2 at the 3600 block of Rosemont. The vehicle was sent to the Houston Police vehicle lot, where it was processed for fingerprints/DNA. When the vehicle was released back to the victim, she located her purse inside the vehicle and noticed that a cell phone was inside of it that did not belong to her. The victim looked at the phone and noticed the photo on the screen saver, which was the same suspects that robbed her. The victim then turned the phone over to police officers. Houston PD #1739386-20

The Houston Police Robbery Division is currently seeking the identity of the two males captured in the photo, who are both believed to be the robbery suspects in this case.

Please contact Crime Stoppers of Houston DIRECTLY if you have any information related to this investigation. Information leading to the charging and/or arrest of any felony suspects may result in a cash payment up to $5,000. Tipsters MUST contact Crime Stoppers DIRECTLY to remain anonymous and to be considered for a cash payment by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitting an online tip at www.crime-stoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app

Tyron Rogers & Kyle Brown are serial aggravated robbers. They confessed to, have been charged with, and are suspects in connection with more than a dozen violent commercial robberies.

Judge Teiva Bell felt that releasing these two predators for free (on PR Bonds) was best for the safety of Harris County. Both of these criminals are now facing life in prison, but running around free with no reason to return to court. #HarrisCountyDeservesBetter

The next time you hear a Walgreens or CVS was robbed in Harris County, don't be surprised when you find out these two are responsible.
