If you have a busted pipe in your home, please turn off the main water connection.

1. IDENTIFY SHUTOFF VALVE LOCATION
Slab foundations have two valves, one located at the house. This can be found along an exterior wall or in your garage. The other valve can be found at the water meter by the street.

Older pier and beam foundations shutoff valves are in the ground water meter box.

2. SHUT OFF THE WATER
You may need an adjustable wrench or pliers to assist in turning off the valves. Homes will have either a gate or ball valve:

- Ball valve turn lever 90 degrees (lever is perpendicular to the pipes when valve is closed. It will be parallel when valve is open)

- Gate valve (common in older homes): gently turn round handle clockwise (right) until it is completely closed. (you will turn handle counterclockwise to turn water back on)

I keep reporting the illegal dumping at this corner in my neighborhood, and nothing has been done for over a year! Freecroft @ Palmway. The shoulder gets used for everything! Over 20 tires, trash, and now a pile of bricks! What else can I do?
Is there any chance we're gonna get the basketball hoops up anytime soon?
Thank you so much City of Houston for the gift of backed up sewage in our bathrooms today. Your truck showed up today on the 2600 block of Peckham Street (77098) and proceeded to start pumping and giving us no notice. Same thing happened to our neighbors. We pay way to much in taxes to be treated this way!!! SHAME ON YOU CITY OF HOUSTON!!!! Whomever runs this department should be fired!!!
Please remove the Trump/Pence signs that are all over Memorial and other streets in Houston. It's a form of bullying by leaving those signs up and it's not fair to everyone to have to see those signs.
Thank you City of Houston for the big potholes that make us buy tires every other month!!
