The FAFSA and TASFA are now open, so if you’re planning to attend college or trade school, don’t put off completing your financial aid application.

💰 Applying early can help you maximize your financial aid opportunities and give you more time to review financial aid offers before making your college decision.

📅 Remember: January 15 is the FAFSA priority deadline for Texas, but individual colleges and universities may have their own deadlines.

Students in Health Science Medical Terminology brought their learning to life by creating 3D skin models showing the effects of different degrees of burns. After planning their designs, students selected materials to represent layers of skin, hair follicles, and burn damage—connecting medical vocabulary to a hands-on look at the body!

NCHS Health Science students put their learning into action as they completed the hands-on portion of their CPR certification! Demonstrating CPR techniques for both adults and infants and the proper use of an AED, students showed they know how to respond when every second counts. These skills prepare them to make a real difference—and help save real lives!

Out of thousands of students who submit sketches to the prestigious Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Program, only 65 finalists were selected for the live Quick Draw Contest! ✏️🖼️

We are incredibly proud of New Caney High School’s Janneysi Gutierrez, who was the only one from our entire district to be selected as one of the high school finalists! Under the guidance of Ms. Arsham, Janneysi will represent NCHS at the NRG Center, where she will have just 50 minutes to create a portrait from a live model using charcoal or graphite. Let’s show Janneysi some Eagle Pride as she draws her way to the top!
