10/16/2020

October 16th is National Feral Cat Day! Here are some facts about feral cats, also known as community cats, you may not know:

1. Feral cats live outdoors and do not have an owner.
2. The left ear tip or notch is intentional. It is a universally accepted method to identify a spayed or neutered feral cat.
3. Feral cats who have the ear tip are also vaccinated and returned to their home area. Over time, their numbers are reduced because they keep other cats from moving in and they cannot reproduce.
4. Simply removing feral cats from their area will not decrease the number of cats. More cats will eventually move in.

I have been told that animal shelters accept old bed pillows to use in dog beds. Would you please confirm if you do or not? I hate that they would just end up in a landfill.
Hello, I am wondering if this article is true; are animals in the shelter euthenized after only three days? If Canelo is still available, I am happy to adopt!
