The Houston Public Library’s Curiosity Cruiser made a special stop at our summer program—and let’s just say…our scholars were READY! 🙌🏽

From an engaging read aloud to hands full of brand new books, our children didn’t just listen to stories—they became part of them. 💫 Every page turned was a reminder that literacy opens doors, builds confidence, and sparks imagination.

And the BEST part? Each scholar walked away with FREE books to grow their home libraries! 📖❤️

Because over here, we’re not just having summer fun… 
🚂 we are FULL STEAM AHEAD into a love for reading!

Today, our scholars didn’t just learn about history…they stepped into it. ✨📚

We visited Kindred Stories for a powerful author visit and read-aloud experience that brought Juneteenth to life. Our students showed up curious, engaged, and ready—asking thoughtful, insightful questions that made us all proud.

And the best part? Each scholar walked away with an autographed book—a piece of history in their hands and a reminder that their voice, their story, and their future matter.

Because when our children read about freedom… 
when they see themselves in the pages… 
when they use their voices to ask, learn, and grow…

🧪✨ SCIENCE + SLIME = PURE JOY! ✨🧪
Today’s adventure at Funtastik Lab was nothing short of AMAZING! From stretching slime to mixing up a little science magic, our students turned curiosity into creativity right before our eyes 👀💙

Hands got messy… minds got busy… and the smiles said it ALL! 😄

Because when learning feels like this, it sticks—just like that slime! 😉

Today, our scholars became engineers in action as they designed and tested their very own metal helicopters!

💡🔩 Through hands-on learning, they explored big STEM ideas like aerodynamics, gravity, lift, and motion—but the real magic? Watching them think, try, fail, adjust, and try again.

📊 Each test flight was more than just fun—it was data collection, critical thinking, and problem-solving in real time. Scholars analyzed what worked, what didn’t, and used evidence to refine their designs like true engineers

🚀 Hands in the air because our scholars are reaching for the STARS! 🛰️🌎

Our Rotating Solar Satellite Activity brought STEM to life as elementary scholars explored space science, engineering, and problem-solving through hands-on learning. From understanding how satellites orbit planets to discovering how they power communication, weather forecasting, and navigation—this was learning in motion!
And of course, we had to add that special spark—Coding with a Twist—making these big concepts fun, engaging, and easy to grasp for our young innovators. 💡✨

What we love most? The teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking shining through every build, every idea, and every “aha” moment. This is what future-ready learning looks like!
