At 7:28pm the Westlake fire department responded to a reported aircraft crash located at the Pine Forest Country Club. Westlake’s Battalion Chief 41 arrived on scene and assumed command reporting a single engine aircraft with heavy frontend damage, upside down, on the ground, no fire and two occupants trapped in the wreckage. Fire-Rescue companies from Westlake, Cy-fair and Houston worked together to remove the victims while Westlake paramedics worked inside the aircraft to stabilize the patients. Extrication efforts were hampered due to the extent of the damage to the aircraft and the aircraft’s location. Two patients were transferred to life flight helicopter’s and flown to a local trauma center.

The incident investigation is being handled by Harris County Sheriff, Department Public Safety and FAA

Westlake would like to thank Cy-Fair Fire Department, Houston Fire Department and the Harris County Sheriff department for assisting with this incident.

Overnight Westlake crews worked two residential fires.

The first fire came in as a mutual aid to Harris County ESD 48 Fire Department. While in the overhaul phase of that fire, there was a call for a Light Structure within our own territory. Medic 41 was the first unit to arrive and reported smoke in the house. Engine 3 with ESD48 made the initial offensive attack to extinguish the fire. Ladder 43 and Squad 41 were sent to check for extensions through the house. Upon checking for extensions, there was fire found in the walls above the chimney. The fire was quickly extinguished and limited the damage to the living room area which was the point of origin. Also on the scene to assist was Cy-Fair Fire Department Engine 12. It was quick and efficient work done by those on scene to save a majority of the home from extensive damage.

Last night one of our members earned his Black Hat. In the fire service rank is often signified by the color of your helmet. Here at Westlake the rank system is as follows: Yellow= Probationary/Rookie, Black= Senior Fireman, Red= Lieutenant's/Captain's, White= Chief. Each helmet color is a sign of the hard work and dedication that member has put in during their time at Westlake. Congrats Firefighter/EMT Leo Gutierrez on your promotion, you have earned it. Continue your hard work!

This morning at 3:38am, Westlake Fire and EMS crews responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with multiple entrapments and ejections on Mason Rd and I10 west bound feeder. Ambulance 41 was first on scene and reported two vehicles with major damage. Upon further assessment of the scene, the Ambulance crew requested more resources which included mutual aid from Harris County ESD 48 Fire Department and Memorial Hermann Life Flight. Sqaud 42 and Ladder 43 crews arrived and began extrication of 3 trapped patients. In total, we transported 4 patients via ambulance and 1 via life flight, unfortunately there was 1 deceased patient on the scene. The scene was left with Harris County Sheriff's to investigate the cause of the accident.

Hi when will you be rescheduling for the apts. (Farmington, Stone Creek, Kenwood, Westborough) I told my parents I would let them know? Tks
Question posted previously, can you please post map?
Is tonight's Candy Toss still on schedule for Westgreen and Sundown subdivision? As a teacher in the subdvision's zone, I would like to notify my student parents via text. And if so around what time, please? Tks
are yall doing yalls haunted house this year?
Hey Westlake, what was happening the other morning behind Denny's? Looked like the clothing donation box was on fire. Just wondering.
Will y’all be having a Halloween haunted drive thru or Halloween chase?
Hi! I’m sorry this message is so late and I hope that it finds y’all well!...I know this is a long shot and I haven’t a clue if this is even a reasonable request as I’m not from here and I’m still not sure how you Texans do it quite yet!! However, I have seen such remarkable and truly inspiring things since I’ve been here so I was kind of thinking this might be worth a go. Today happens to be my baby sisters birthday and as it turns out, with Covid-19, her just recently graduating college (with 3 of the best kids ever in tow)...moving into her new home and finding her first big girl job, WE DID NOT PLAN A THING-so last night we threw together one of those drive by parades, I rallied up all of old high school friends (it’s her 30th bday by the way) got my parents and my other siblings on board and we’re all gonna line up at 0745 (today) at her house to surprise her for what I’m sure will be a morning that she’ll never forget!!...and what I was wondering is-if one of your trucks was in the area and not real busy at the moment of the big shabang-would it be at possible for us to maybe get some GOOD OLD TEXAS SIZED lights and sirens to help lead the way for this sweet sister of mine’s surprise Sunday morning wake up call?? I’d pay you in Louisiana hugs and donuts and kolaches served up by the neatest New Orleans transplants this town ever did see!!❤️ I sent the address in a private message and even if I don’t see y’all in a few hours. Thanks so much for all of your service and dedication-it’s so much appreciated!!!!! ❤️
🐺 Den from Pack 1001 visited the station 1/17/2020. Thank you all for your service.
Merry Christmas to you all and families. Thank you for your services and God Bless. Stay safe
Thank you for a fun night!!
Love you all! Still with you in spirit and heart. Have fun with Open House! Always fun...
Look at this awesome warmer that would make a great gift
