Public Awareness: Water Quality and Turbidity
The City of Deer Park is currently addressing elevated water turbidity alongside local municipalities through active water quality testing and water line flushing.

Heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Edouard recently impacted the raw water supply from the Trinity River Basin, agitating natural minerals and causing a mild yellow or green tint in some water.

Please rest assured that the water treatment process remained fully effective, and finished drinking water testing confirms it exceeds all applicable Texas regulatory standards.

🚧 Citizen Advisory: Roadway Construction Update 🚧
Contractor SKE Construction is wrapping up road work at the Luella and Pasadena Blvd. location and will move to the 1600 block of Park Ave.
Please expect lane closures and alternate traffic lanes in the area. We advise drivers to plan alternate routes, allow extra travel time, and exercise caution when driving near work zones.

📢 CITIZEN ADVISORY: Temporary Lane Closures Starting August 19, 2026

Please be advised that roadwork for concrete pavement replacement is scheduled to begin tomorrow, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, on both Center Street and Georgia Avenue. Drivers should expect lane closures at both locations, which are anticipated to remain in place for approximately one week.

On Center Street, a section of one southbound lane will be closed between W. Oak Street and W. Highline Street. Additionally, on Georgia Avenue, a section of one northbound lane will be closed just south of W. 13th Street.

Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, use caution when driving through active work zones, and consider taking alternate routes to avoid potential delays. Thank you for your patience as we complete these necessary infrastructure improvements.

🚧 CITIZEN ADVISORY: E X ST PAVEMENT REPLACEMENT 🚧

Construction is officially underway on E X Street! Branch Construction Group has begun removing and replacing concrete pavement between Luella Avenue and Karankawas Court.

Here’s what you need to know as work progresses:

đź“Ť Work is divided into four separate sections. Residents affected by construction will receive a notice 48 hours before work reaches your address with specific parking instructions. Work in front of individual homes will take about 5 days (weather permitting).

⏰ Crews will be active Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Expect heavy equipment, noise, and temporary dust during these hours.

đźš— Driveways will be temporarily inaccessible while pavement is replaced. Please plan to park outside active work zones.

🌱 Please clear any sprinkler heads, hoses, yard decorations, or personal items out of the City right-of-way before work begins in your section.

📬 Crews are coordinating closely with providers to keep garbage pickup and mail delivery running as smoothly as possible.
