Celebrating the remarkable success of Plains All American 2023-2024 United Way campaign! Soaring to new heights, this achievement is a testament to the incredible generosity demonstrated by their dedicated employees. With triple the impact, the campaign was further elevated through CARE contributions and executive matches.

From the energetic kickoff happy hour to engaging lunchtime trivia and bright opportunities for volunteering, the enthusiasm was palpable throughout. A round of applause for our committed executive leadership and the passionate ambassadors who played a pivotal role in propelling this campaign to success. Special recognition goes to VP Ron Lamoreaux for initiating a donation challenge that sparked a wave of giving. Our United Way LINC Holiday Cheer was magical!

Our incredible LINC members wrapped toys and essentials for children in our Bright Beginnings programs, a powerful collaboration with ExxonMobil.

A special moment featured Jarrod West, author and early childcare educator from Destiny Village (a Bright Beginnings center), sharing gratitude and emphasizing the impact of our collective involvement.

Huge thanks to our Caring Champions for orchestrating this magical event and connecting people to possibility, one present at a time!

Earlier this week, the United Way of Greater Houston team collaborated with Montgomery County Food Bank for a food distribution in New Caney. In just under two hours, we provided essential provisions to 130 families, including 30-40 pounds of protein, fresh produce, and more.

Responding to an urgent need highlighted by Montgomery County Food Bank in August, our Montgomery County Council approved a $50,000 grant. This funding facilitated the creation of family boxes, making a significant impact by feeding 15,396 families (family of 4) or 61,584 individuals in Montgomery County.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and partners for making a positive difference in the lives of our neighbors!

And that's not okay.

With your support, United Way of Greater Houston can help our neighbors struggling to make ends meet become financially stable and build stronger, more sustainable futures for themselves and their children.

Congratulations to Phillips 66 on a successful campaign kickoff!

The event started with the most important meal of the day at the Executive Leadership Team Kick-Off Breakfast, which brought together over 80 passionate executives.

This year's theme of "Learn. Give. Do." set the tone for an inspiring occasion, including the 8th Annual Toast to United Way, a signature golf tournament fundraiser by Midstream and Procurement.

Thank you, Phillips 66, for and for your commitment to creating positive change in Greater Houston!

We partnered with EY , Comcast , and Urban Enrichment Institute
to supply 274 Chromebooks to students in our community! EY generously donated the Chromebooks, and EY volunteers helped distribute them and offered families and students one-on-one digital literacy training. Among the volunteers were EY Houston Office Managing Partner and our board member, Esi Akinosho , as well as Dan Williams and Kristie Ketron, who served as co-leaders of this volunteer project. Families also had the opportunity to learn about Comcast offerings and ACP from Comcast employees. For three years, this partnership has worked to help close the growing digital divide our community faces. Thank you to our partners for connecting people to possibility!
