Packhorse Library Dedication Ceremony:

The City of Hyden and the Leslie County Public Library invite you to be part of a special event; the dedication of a Kentucky Historical Marker honoring the legacy of the Packhorse Librarians.

Starting October 6th, there will be a display downstairs in the Leslie County Public Library leading up to the event on October 11th at 1:30 in Riverfront Park.

That’s a wrap on our Summer Reading Program for this year! We’ve had a blast with our kids. Thank you to our workers, Jenelle Jones from the Division of Forestry for bringing Smokey the Bear to our party, the Extension Office for coming out to teach our program on Tuesday’s, Amanda Smith for hosting the paint day for our kids, and anyone and everyone who helped us out! 🎉

Don’t forget, we will be having Game Day on Wednesday’s @ 1 until school starts back or until people stop coming! 🎮
