We continue to highlight some of our favorite, funny and downright furry from our most favorite Day.

More than 20,000 selfies from across the country came pouring in the three we are highlighting today have some fun faces that really set them apart! 🤣

From furry friends serving as stand-ins, to making City Hall staff sign 'vintage' photos, to one City Manager serving as a literal Lady Liberty, these were some of our favorite faces.

Selfie Day always comes with a little ✨ MOVIE MAGIC ✨ - but these three videos really stood out to us!

Today we want to smash cut into some applause for Georgetown, Texas; Issaquah, Washington; and Savage, Minnesota. Each posted some wildly creative videos that took some... special editing (unless you believe in REAL magic!).

We are shining a spotlight on some of our favorite Day participants as we lead up to revealing our award winner for 2026!

Today, we wanted to highlight two videos that gave us all the nostalgic feels!

The City of West Sacramento, California ( ) introduced their awesome staff using a classic 90s TV theme. While the City of South San Francisco, California, ( ) tapped into that incredible 'Avenger, Assemble' vibe as they highlighted their own heroes from across the City.

It's hard to believe that Day was two weeks ago! It feels like only yesterday. It took us some time to comb through more than 20,000 Selfies from all over the globe! Each year ELGL like to recognize those who took the assignment to the next level. We are starting off this series by recognizing some of our Honorable Mentions - folks who brought a little extra the pizzaz to their picture (or video).

Today we want to recognizeThe City of Waukesha, Wisconsin, ( ) for taking the Highest Selfie... er, the Most Vertically High Selfie... Yeah, nothing like bringing our the boom truck to get a pic with the crew!

We also want to tip our hats to the City of Camden, South Carolina, who took a slew of bittersweet selfies as they were preparing to move out of their current City Hall and into some new digs. You can see all of their photos over on their Linked In page.

ELGL did not start in a conference hall. It started over lunch with a handful of passionate people working in .

As we grew across the country, we used online tools, webinar and social media to stay connected with folks who shared our vision. But getting people together, in-person, to build relationships and learn from one another is still at our core.

Heck, its what drives our north star and our promise to our members that No One In Local Gov Leads Alone.

That is why we believe the ELGL Gov Grand Prix is more than just another conference this fall. It is a chance to build a true, authentic connection with other human beings passionate about .

For those in the region, we want this conference to be a chance to meet ELGL on your own home turf. Sign up for one of our Local Day Passes. We are only HALF WAY through an AMAZING Day, but we still have one challenge for everyone out there sharing the joy and love for all things .
