Washington Township Schools We are located on the North side of Indianapolis. We are home to eight elementary schools, three middle schools, the J.

Our mission is to nurture our students into tomorrow's leaders by cultivating learning environments that ignite innovation, amplify diverse and critical thinking, and inspire growth and achievement. Everett Light Career Center, an Early Learning Center, and North Central High School. We provide excellent opportunities for students to participate in outstanding performing arts, fine arts, academic teams, publications, athletics, and other student activities. We provide quality education in award-winning schools built on a foundation of outstanding educators, administrators, school board members, and supportive parents. Across the district, we’re helping students think about what comes next by exploring the many opportunities available after graduation. College GO! Week gives our students (at all levels) a chance to learn more about postsecondary education, discover programs and pathways that match their interests, and begin thinking about the steps they can take today to prepare for their future.

From our youngest Panthers dreaming about what they want to be to our high school students making plans for life after graduation, every step toward the future starts with exploring what’s possible.

It's Homecoming week. Plan to join the Washington Township Schools Foundation for their annual homecoming tailgate!

New tailgate location this year! We are excited to be moving the party a little closer to the stadium this year, on the large lawn by the tennis courts.

Join us for the FREE Washington Township Schools Foundation Homecoming Tailgate before the big game on Friday, September 25, from 5-7 p.m.⁠

Bring the family and enjoy music, food from the J. Everett Light Café, kids' activities, a scavenger hunt, mascot race, and special alumni festivities before cheering on the Panthers under the Friday night lights.⁠

What does “renewal” mean?
The upcoming referendum would continue the current rate of $0.25 per $100 of assessed value, the same rate Washington Township voters approved in 2020. The referendum does not propose increasing the existing referendum tax rate.

College GO! Week is here!

It’s a great time for students to take the next step toward life after high school! Throughout , seniors are encouraged to explore colleges, career pathways, and other post-secondary opportunities—and many Indiana colleges are making it easier to apply by waiving application fees! See the list of colleges waiving fees this week!

We are also hosting a College GO! Week Parent Q&A on Tuesday September 22nd at 9:30 AM, both in person North Central High School and virtually via Zoom. Join our Career & College Counselor and Director of High School Counseling to ask questions about the college application process, fee waivers, financial aid, etc!
