A special August Game Night to celebrate National Black Business Month! ✨💼

At Game Night, Bigs and Littles had the chance to interact with some local Black businesses and owners! Thank you to everyone who joined us at or supported the event, including;

🍠 His Place Eatery - Chicken & Waffle, Ribs, and Soul Food for donating candied yams and mac n cheese
🎨 Craft Connections for arranging a bookmark design station and being present to help our matches
🎀 Freedom Curls for providing materials and tutorials for matches to practice hair styling
🍦 LiftOff Creamery for providing ice cream

Volunteers needed!🚨

With the start of the school year just around the corner, we're looking for volunteers who live or work near Lawrence Township or the Martindale Brightwood neighborhood to mentor youth right at their school, once a week. 🎒✏️✨

As a Site-Based Big, you'll spend just one lunch hour each week (you choose the day) with your Little at their school building a meaningful and impactful mentoring friendship!

We are so excited to share that our annual Crew for Kids fundraiser with Crew Carwash raised $268,632 that will support Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Minnesota.🎉🚗🫧

Thanks to everyone who stopped in for an Ultimate Wash, purchased one online, or made a donation during the fundraiser, more youth will experience and be positively impacted by mentorship.

Finally, a BIG thank you to the entire Crew Carwash team for collaborating up with BBBS for the 17th year to put on this fundraiser - you are making our community a brighter place for young people!🌟

Bigs and Littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters had a BLAST playing in a Knockout basketball tournament at North Mass Boulder! 🏀🌟

This fun-filled opportunity allowed matches to be active, spend some time outside, and enjoy some friendly competition. Biggest shoutout to our friends at North Mass Boulder for having us at their space!

We are so excited to announce our recent grant award from Arthur Dean Family Foundation! They have generously awarded BBBSCI a $70,000 grant that will go towards supporting our Group Mentoring program for referred and waiting youth, our Beyond 18 program for graduated Littles, and our staff wellness fund. 🌟
