⚽ Fall 2026 Youth Soccer Registration is Open! ⚽

The City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with Jackson Public Schools, is offering Fall Soccer for children from age 4 through middle school!

Divisions include:

4-Year-Old COED NEW!
Kindergarten COED
1st & 2nd Grade Girls and Boys
3rd & 4th Grade Girls and Boys
5th & 6th Grade Girls and Boys
Middle School COED

📅 Games: Saturdays, September 19–October 24
⏰ Games scheduled between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM
📍 Ella Sharp Park Soccer Fields
💲 $20 for JPS students | $25 for students outside JPS
👕 Fee includes a jersey

📌 Registration deadline: Friday, September 4, or until divisions are full.

📣 Calling all future cheerleaders! 📣

The City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with Jackson Public Schools, is offering a Youth Cheer League for students in 1st–6th grade!

Cheerleaders will practice at Ella Sharp Park and cheer at games held at Jackson High School’s Withington Stadium. Divisions are available for 1st/2nd grade, 3rd/4th grade, and 5th/6th grade.

📅 Kickoff dates begin in September
💲 $20 for JPS students | $25 for students outside JPS
👕 Fee includes a shirt
📍 Games at Withington Stadium
📲 Registration is open until each division’s deadline or until divisions are full

Good evening, Northeast Families! This is Mrs. Martin, Principal for Instruction, with your weekly updates! 🖤🧡
What a GREAT first week back we have had! We are so thrilled to have our Vikings back in the building. It has been wonderful seeing smiling faces, hearing laughter in the hallways, and watching our students jump right back into learning. We are off to a fantastic start, and we are so excited for all that this school year has in store!
Just a reminder that there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, September 4th, or Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing long weekend!
Beginning Monday, August 31st, we will officially begin using our dismissal number system.
If you will be using the pickup line, please make sure your student knows their pickup number. This will help us keep dismissal moving safely and efficiently. Thank you for your help and patience as we continue getting our dismissal routines in place!
🍿 Popcorn Fridays Are Back!
Our Popcorn Sale begins Friday, September 11th! We will be making popcorn on all full-day Fridays throughout the school year.
Bags of popcorn will be $1.00 each, and students may purchase up to two bags.
We are also offering Popcorn Passes for families who would like to purchase popcorn for the entire year:
🧡 $25.00 – 1 bag each week
🖤 $40.00 – 2 bags each week
Popcorn Passes will be available for purchase in the office until Friday, September 11th. We can't wait to bring back this fun Friday tradition!

Please remember to turn in your Educational Benefits Form as soon as possible. You may send the completed form to school with your student or drop it off in the office. Every form turned in helps our school, so we truly appreciate your support!
Finally, I want to say THANK YOU to all of our Northeast parents and families! Thank you for helping your children get off to such a wonderful start and for partnering with us as we make this a successful school year. We are so grateful that you trust us with your children each day, and we are excited to learn, grow, and celebrate with them all year long!

15 COMPLIMENTS = CLASS PARTY! 🎉

Our “Otto’s” This World Class had a BIG reason to celebrate today! 🚀✨

The kids have been working hard to be kind, respectful, and responsible throughout the school, and we officially earned 15 compliments from other staff members! 🥳

They’ve been noticed for walking nicely in line, showing great hallway behavior, being respectful, making good choices, and showing kindness to others. 💛

And the best part? They got to choose their celebration!

Their request?
A CHIP PARTY! 😂🥔🎉

So a chip party it was!

They have worked together to earn it and then got to celebrate together. So proud of this crew and the great choices they’re making both inside and outside of our classroom this first week!

Keep filling those buckets and keep being “Otto’s” This World! 🪣🚀

What a way to kick off a brand-new school year! 💫

Ms. Otto’s class had the BEST first day! Our little astronauts came in ready to learn, explore, make new memories, and have some fun along the way. 🪐👩‍🚀

There were smiles, laughs, lots of learning about our classroom and each other, and so many moments that reminded me why I love what I do. ❤️

I have a feeling this group is going to be pretty “OTTO” this world! 🌎🚀⭐

Here’s to a year full of BIG dreams, growing minds, kindness, friendships, adventures, and reaching for the stars! 🌟

What a fantastic day to be a Viking! The students at Northeast had a wonderful first day of school. They are getting to know their teachers, making new friends, and exploring the school. Here are a few pictures from this morning's adventures, including arriving at school, eating breakfast in the Northeast Cafe, and participating in physical activities in the gym! We even had a visit from our favorite JPS Superintendent, Jeremy Patterson.

We can't wait for our first full day tomorrow. GO VIKINGS!
