We celebrated our first Student of the Month party of the school year!
Our character trait for August was respect. These outstanding Parkwood Panthers were selected by their teachers and classmates for consistently showing respect toward others.
The students were treated to cupcakes and snow cones and had the chance to visit the playroom. They had a wonderful time celebrating their achievement!
What an incredibly respectful group of students! We are so proud of each of you—keep leading by example, Panthers! ❤️🖤

As we are getting ready for our Friday dismissal, we want to say Congratulations, Parkwood Panthers!
We are celebrating seven school days since our last reflection form was needed during afternoon dismissal!

Thank you, students, for making great choices and helping dismissal remain safe, orderly, and successful. ❤️🐾

Our Afternoon Dismissal Behavior Intervention Process:
1️⃣ Reflection and reteaching
2️⃣ Parent/guardian involvement
3️⃣ Parent conference and dismissal support
This process helps teach, reteach, and reinforce safe and responsible behavior.

We want every student to remember:
“My choices during dismissal help keep me, my classmates, and our adults safe.”

A huge THANK YOU to the Arlington Council of the JAX Chamber for treating the staff at Parkwood Heights Elementary to a delicious surprise: donuts from one of Arlington’s famous Donut shoppe!
They were absolutely delicious and definitely made our day a little sweeter!
We are so grateful to have wonderful community partners who think of our school and show our Parkwood family so much support.

🐾❤️ First Friday at the Panther Den!
Today was our very first Friday at the Panther Den, and it was a huge success!
30 lucky students who earned Red Tickets for making great choices had the opportunity to visit the Panther Den and spin the wheel to win a special treat or toy!
A HUGE thank you to all of the amazing parents, families, and friends of Parkwood Heights who donated and helped make the opening of the Panther Den possible. Your generosity helps us celebrate our Panthers and encourages them to keep making positive choices every day!
We can't wait for our next Panther Den Friday! 🐾

We are bursting with Parkwood Panther pride as we celebrate the incredible success of one of our former students, Reece Weaver!

Reece recently retired from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and she has now announced her exciting next chapter: she has been selected to play Roxie Hart on Broadway in CHICAGO, the longest-running American musical in Broadway history!

Reece, we are beyond excited to celebrate this amazing accomplishment with you! From your Parkwood days to the Dallas Cowboys sidelines and now to the Broadway stage, what an incredible journey. We’ll be cheering you on all the way from Jacksonville! ❤️

We love showcasing the accomplishments of our former students and reminding our current Panthers that their dreams can take them anywhere.
