Florida Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf FRID is a member driven organization. We encourage members to be involved at all levels. There are several key positions open.

Is dedicated to advancing the practice of American Sign Language interpreting in Florida through professional development, scholarships, and community engagement to promote equity and cultural inclusion for individuals who use ASL interpreting services. The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) is one of FRID's highest honors, recognizing someone who has made notable and lasting contributions through leadership, advocacy, mentorship, and service.

Qualifications for the Nominee:
- No credentials needed.
- Must not be an active FRID Board member.
- Be a good person involved in the community!

Qualifications for the Nominator:
- Must be a FRID member in good standing.

How to Nominate:

2. Fill out the form, including a brief explanation of why the person you are nominating deserves this award.
3. Submit, and you’re done! It’s that easy!
