The map for No Kings Day just went live with nearly 600 peaceful protests planned across all 50 states (including our flagship event in the Twin Cities).

The early energy we’re seeing around this upcoming day of defiance goes way beyond what we saw this far out from our record-setting mass mobilizations last year. March 28 will be the largest day of protest in American history.

Today we gathered in Jamestown and were joined by neighbors from surrounding towns. Below is the letter more than 140 community members signed to the Mayor of Minneapolis.

January 11, 2026
Mayor Jacob Frey
Minneapolis City Hall
350 S. Fifth Street, Room 330 Minneapolis, MN
55415

Dear Mayor Frey,
We are gathered on the Town Green in Jamestown, RI today to celebrate the life and mourn the tragic loss of Renee Nicole Good. We stand in solidarity with you and the people of Minneapolis in this time of mournful sadness and unfathomable grief. We will continue to protest peacefully, but relentlessly, to demand and achieve an end to the vicious and unlawful actions of the ICE forces and the Trump administration.

As offered by Amanda Gorman in her poem, For Renee Nicole Good
Killed by I.C.E. on January 7, 2026

"Change is only possible,
& all the greater,
When the labour
& bitter anger of our neighbors Is moved by the love
& better angels of our nature."

On behalf of the following members of the Jamestown, Rhode Island Community and friends, we offer our support and our conviction to stand by you and for the people of your city and our nation.

You may already know that there is a vigil planned for this Sunday, January 11th at East Ferry, Jamestown from 1pm - 2pm.

This past Wednesday an American citizen, Renee Nicole Good, was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities.

Southbay Ragtag and the Jamestown Dems are joining with Indivisible and a number of other groups nationwide seeking to demand accountability, honor the life lost this past week in MN, and make visible the ongoing human cost of ICE’s actions.

Join us in solidarity, bring friends and family and signs ~ it’s good to gather.

One year ago on Jan. 6, hundreds of supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol to stop Congress from certifying Joe Biden's electoral vote win.
