🚌 Every day, our guests are working hard to build a stable future. But getting to the places that make that stability possible can be a major challenge. 🎫
📅Whether it's making a crucial doctor's appointment, or meeting with a probation officer, reliable transportation is a vital piece of the puzzle. Because our guests need to travel throughout the area, we try to provide passes for both local routes and regional connections.
How you can help: 💙
👉Janesville Transit System (JTS) tokens or passes
👉Beloit Transit System (BTS) tokens or passes (including the Beloit-Janesville Express)
🎫Providing a bus ticket gives a guest the independence and means to show up for their obligations, stay healthy, and keep moving forward.

📍 Drop them off: Stop by the shelter to drop off physical tickets, tokens, or passes.

GIFTS offers our Soap and Hope program on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from May - September. This program is dedicated to providing our unhoused neighbors with a safe, welcoming space to wash their clothes, take a shower, and grab a lunch and snacks. 🥪🚿👕

It’s about so much more than just the essentials—it’s about restoring dignity, building trust, and offering a community of care.

THANK YOU goes out to our wonderful staff, our dedicated Shelter Director, Joe, and our amazing volunteer, Paula! 🙌✨ Your hard work, compassion, and servant hearts are what make this program run so smoothly and feel so welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. We truly couldn't do what we do without you. ❤️

THANK YOU to Peg, Matt, and the incredible team from First Lutheran Church! 🪵🔥

They knocked it out of the park by serving up a phenomenal meal of tender brisket sandwiches with all the fixings. Our community was absolutely spoiled by their generosity, hard work, and the amazing energy they brought with them.

We are so grateful for partners like First Lutheran who show up, dish out incredible food, and pour so much love into our program guests. You all are the absolute best!

We’ve had a few last-minute cancellations on our meal calendar, leaving some open dates over the next few weeks! Providing a dinner is such a massive blessing to our shelter guests—many of whom are returning from long days of work or community obligations.

If you, your family, your church group, or your business are looking for a tangible way to serve, we would love to have you fill one of these open slots:
