Join us on Monday for our Memorial Day program at 8:30 AM. If it is raining, we will be at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. We will still start at 8:30 AM. Hope to see you there.

The County Park restrooms near the S.Llano bridge are closed temporarily.
There is a plumbing leak. We will repair ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I posted this in response to a question about courthouse restoration project update. Thank you!

It might appear slow but it continues to be on schedule per the contractor and our project manager for completion in December 2026. My personal opinion is it will be sometime in the first 3-4 months in 2027.

I apologize for not many pictures lately but much of the work has been outside in view or structural (roof, mechanical) and not great picture wise.

We are about to get into the more detailed work inside which will be more sequenced and subject to potential delays if there are hold ups with materials or a particular phase…not saying it will happen but it’s more possible at this stage.

Also I’m pleased to report that our process of submitting our invoices for funds spent in construction for grant reimbursement to the Texas Historical Commission has worked well and the THC has outperformed and reimbursed the county faster than they estimated which is great.

Each commissioners court meeting we discuss and our project manager gives the court an update and overview of where we are. First Tuesday 9am at the museum (until restoration finished!)

Hope this helps and will get some more pictures posted soon! Hal
