BEFORE AND AFTER: When replacing and installing a new 70-horsepower pump brings out an easy smile from our Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Kevin Tapley.

This and two other pumps were purchased from the $1.9M general revenue bonds received back in 2024. We'd say this is money well spent!

WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT? Did you know there’s a place in Hawaii piping 1,000-year-old ocean water straight to land? Just south of the Kona airport lies HOST Park, a massive 900-acre innovation hub.

Thanks to a rare, steep drop-off just off the coast, giant pipelines pump icy-cold, pristine deep-ocean water from thousands of feet below the surface.

Because this water has been isolated from the surface for centuries, it is completely free of modern pollutants and packed with unique minerals.
