You still have another week to sign up for the Summer Reading Program! Registration will remain open until Saturday, June 6. Stop in during open hours to register children ages 3-18. When the program starts on Monday, June 8, registered children can stop anytime during the week to complete projects and turn in reading logs. We're getting ready for our "yard" sale! It will run indoors, rain or shine, from Monday, June 1 through Saturday, June 6 during open hours. Items for sale will include furniture, racks, toys, some office equipment, and more. Our Used Book Sale will also be open.

Our fire pit raffle is still going on! The drawing will be on July 2, just in time for 4th of July! Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased at the circulation desk anytime the library is open.

Tuesday Play Day will continue through the summer! Every Tuesday at 10:30 am is a Play Day for children. Bring your children to the Knox Public Library for this casual get-together and we will provide preschool appropriate toys and games for unstructured play. This is a great social opportunity for little ones and parents alike. No registration necessary!

World Turtle Day is observed every year on May 23. It is celebrated to increase awareness about turtles and tortoises and to encourage people to take action to protect them. World Turtle Day was founded in 2000 by American Tortoise Rescue and is now celebrated in over 190 countries.
