Elementary School Cross-Country Parents and Guardians

On Tuesday, September 8th, we will be going to Tishomingo for a cross-country meet. It will take place at Tishomingo softball fields. We will leave the elementary school gym about 3:45PM. We should be back around 7:10PM. Please make sure you are at the Tiger to pick them up at that time. We will probably run at around 3:45PM (girls) and 5:45PM (boys).

Please send a water bottle with your child.

Our XC teams traveled to Marlow to compete in their first meet! We had 4 medalists:

Clara Duck
Charlotte Soap
Arayla Lowry
Mason Davis

We’re proud of our runners and look forward to see their times improve over the season! Our next meet will be September 19 at Gordon Cooper Technology Center!

Parents and Guardians,

You may have heard of a TikTok Dr. Seuss. We are aware and are monitoring closely. In addition, our local law enforcement is aware and monitoring. Lastly, I am attaching a letter we received from the Oklahoma School Security Institute regarding findings by the Oklahoma Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center.

Konawa XC will load the bus tomorrow at 2:00pm to head to their first meet in Marlow. Please make sure your student has their jersey, black shorts, and money to eat on. They will notify parents/guardians as we head home.

🏈 KONAWA FOOTBALL SCHEDULE UPDATE

This Friday’s Konawa vs. Purcell High School football game has been CANCELLED.

We were notified on Saturday that Purcell would not be able to go through with the game.

Please help us spread the word so everyone in our community is aware of the schedule change.

There will be a softball parent meeting after the HS game tomorrow evening. It is for HS and JH parents as well as anyone interested in Konawa softball. We will talk about upcoming fundraisers and the state of our program. Thank you!

Congrats to our Lady Tiger softball team for going undefeated in the Asher tournament. Beating Varnum in the first round 4-0, Stratford 4-2 for the semi finals, and got the championship win over Moss 3-1 twice this afternoon. Congratulations, ladies! 🥎🏆
