Behind every 4-H livestock project is a young person learning valuable life and business skills.

From feeding and daily animal care to record keeping, marketing, and understanding the economics of livestock production, Charles County 4-H youth are gaining hands-on experience that extends far beyond the show ring.

The Charles County 4-H Livestock Auction gives these young entrepreneurs an opportunity to put those skills into action while connecting with members of our local agricultural community. We’re proud to support the next generation of farmers, agricultural leaders, and entrepreneurs in Charles County.

Come support our 4-H exhibitors at the Charles County Fair Livestock Auction which will be held on Saturday, September 19 at 4:00 p.m.

This Labor Day, we’re celebrating the people whose hard work keeps Maryland moving every day. We’re especially grateful for our farmers and agricultural community who continue to show up, put in the long hours, and help keep food on our tables and our communities growing. There are MANY ways to support our Charles County 4-H youth at the Livestock Auction on September 19th.

When you purchase an animal, you can:
✅ Have it processed for your family
✅ Split the meat with another buyer
✅ Keep the animal
✅ Have it resold on the open market
✅ Donate it
✅ Support an individual 4-H member through a donation
✅ Make a contribution to support the auction

And if you choose processing or resale, we can help coordinate transportation and the details.

The best part? Auction proceeds go directly to the individual 4-H exhibitor.

So whether you're a business owner, community member, past buyer, 4-H supporter, or someone who simply wants to invest in local youth, there's a way for you to participate.
