Progress reports will go home with students today, September 24. This is the second progress report of the nine weeks, which ends October 16. Report cards will be issued October 21.

🔎 See it. Think it. Wonder about it.💭

Students in Mrs. Schenkel's 8th gr Social Studies classes kicked off a new chapter with a Gallery Walk!
Students worked in groups to analyze sets of historical images and record what they SAW👀, THOUGHT🧠, and WONDERED 💭.

As they rotated through each station, students built on their classmates’ observations, discussed ideas with their peers, and searched for connections and patterns across the images. 📝
By the end of the gallery walk, they were using the evidence they gathered to make predictions about what our next chapter might be about!✍️📖🤩

🌟PBIS Reward - Friday, September 25🌟

Students that had NO minor or major Discipline Referrals will receive a Free Dress this Friday, September 25!
Students will be notified by their homeroom teacher if they qualify. They will receive their wristband on Friday morning in homeroom!

NOT ALLOWED: hoodies, pajamas, jeans with rips/holes/tears, jean shorts, strapless/spaghetti straps, crop tops, leggings as pants, sunglasses, slippers/slides/crocs, glitter/ face paint!

**Any and all bottoms (shorts/skirts/ athletic style bottoms) must be no shorter than 3 in above the knee or longer!

Students Mrs. Russell's 7th gr Literacy class played musical questions. 🎶🎼📝

Think musical chairs, except everybody wins! 🤗 As the song plays students walk around and when the song is paused, they go to the closest worksheet and they answer one question when the music begins again. 🎶🎶
Students move around the classroom and they continue until all the questions are answered. Once all the questions have been answered, students returned to their seat and they review the work done making corrections as needed. 🤩
This activity gives every student a chance to participate actively and think quickly and reflect on work done. 🤔🤩📝
English can be boring, but Musical Questions spiced things up today for an engaging activity!✍️📖🤗

This month, our MBMS BETA Club is focusing on the service theme “Legends Build Up Their Community.” 🤗
At their recent meeting, our BETA students showed appreciation for the people who make our school special! Students filled goodie bags for the staff at MBMS and wrote a personal note to a staff member who has made a positive impact on their lives. 🥰
We are so proud of our students for taking the time to serve, encourage, and build up their school community! 💜🤩
