Join us in welcoming Dr. Michael Cuba Jr. as a new Assistant Principal at Molo Middle School! Dr. Cuba brings experience in both the classroom and school leadership, having served as a middle school teacher, Acting Assistant Principal, and Dean of Discipline. Throughout his career, he has focused on building strong relationships with students, families, faculty, and community members. With experience in PBIS and Restorative Practices, Dr. Cuba is committed to working with teachers and staff to build a positive school culture and support students through strong relationships, collaboration, and ongoing support for teachers. Congratulations to Dr. Cuba!

Which homeroom will be the FIRST to get ALL of their student information packets turned in? 👀

Here’s how to help your child’s homeroom WIN:
📄 Complete the entire student information packet sent home with your students
- This includes Code of Conduct, Internet (AUP), Health Center form, etc.

🎒 Send it back with your student ASAP (If you completed your packet during registration, your student has already been counted)

⏰ Deadline is Thursday, August 20
Remember—the winning homeroom must have EVERY student’s packet turned in FIRST! We need our Molo parents to help us get the competition rolling!

We look forward to welcoming our Warriors back for an exciting new school year! Students will begin the morning with a special opening experience designed to build excitement before our classes begin!

Important reminders:

📍 Morning Arrival: All students must enter through the Boys Gym entrance on Simmons Street.

📍 Afternoon Car Rider Pickup: All car riders must be picked up at the front entrance on Medora Street.

All students will receive their homeroom assignments and class schedules tomorrow morning.

Incoming 6th Grade Families:
Don’t forget our 6th Grade Student Orientation on Wednesday, July 29, from 2:00–3:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for students to meet our staff, learn about middle school, and get ready for a successful year at Molo!

We can’t wait to see our Warrior families and kick off another great school year!

🏀 Calling All Future Chargin’ Indians! 🏀

The Washington-Marion Chargin’ Indians Youth Hoop Session is here! Whether your child is looking to sharpen their skills or simply loves the game, this is a great opportunity to learn from our coaches and players while having fun!

📅 Dates: August 4-5
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Location: Washington-Marion Gymnasium
Who: Boys & Girls entering 3rd–8th Grade
💲 Cost: $10 per day

✅ Register by scanning the SIGN UP QR code.
💳 To pay: Scan the PAYMENT QR code.

* Attending one day? Select a quantity of 1.
* Attending both days? Select a quantity of 2.

🚶 Walk-ups are welcome! Parents may register their child on-site the morning of camp by completing the required paperwork.

🍿 Concessions will be available for purchase! We’ll have candy, chips, Powerade, water, and nachos available. Cash and card payments will be accepted (card payments pending iPad availability).

Today, we pause to honor the life and legacy of our beloved Assistant Principal, Sonya Ross, whose passing has left a lasting void in the Molo Middle School family.

Ms. Ross dedicated herself to serving our students, supporting our staff, and making a difference in the lives of everyone she encountered as a teacher, curriculum leader, and administrator. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to Molo Middle School will never be forgotten.

Please continue to keep her daughter, family, friends, and all who loved her in your thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Clement brings more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, master teacher, and administrator. With strong ties to Molo Middle and a passion for supporting both students and teachers, she is well prepared to help lead our school into the future.

* 9:00 AM–1:00 PM – General Registration (All Grades)

SKIP THE LINE! If your student’s information in Student Progress Center is current and you’ve paid the $20 registration fee online, there is no need to attend walk-in registration.

New to Calcasieu Parish? Families new to the district must first obtain a registration permit from the CWA Office before registering at Molo Middle School.

We can’t wait to welcome our returning Warriors and meet our newest members of the Molo family at 6th Grade Orientation!
