Schedule Update – State of Nevada vs. Duane Davis

Tomorrow’s court start time for Thursday, August 13 has changed. Court will now begin at 1:00 PM

The State of Nevada vs. Duane Davis trial is scheduled to begin tomorrow, August 10.

Members of the public wishing to attend should arrive at least one hour before the start of court to participate in the daily lottery for courtroom seating.

Because the courtroom will be filled by prospective jurors during jury selection, public seating cannot be guaranteed during this phase of the trial. Jury selection may take several days.

Please allow extra time to pass through courthouse security.

The Eighth Judicial District Court is committed to providing fair and orderly public access to the upcoming trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, scheduled to begin 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

Courtroom Seating Lottery – A daily lottery will determine public seating in the main courtroom. Please arrive at least one hour before court begins each day to participate. 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱. Located on the second floor of the Regional Justice Center in room 2421.

• 8/11: Noon–5:00 PM
• 8/12: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 8/13: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
• 8/14: No Court Session

• 8/17: 9:30 AM-5:00 PM
• 8/18: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 8/19: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
• 8/20: 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
• 8/21: 9:00 AM–3:30 PM

Week 3
• 8/24: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
• 8/25: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 8/26: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• 8/27: Noon–4:00 PM
• 8/28: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Week 4
• 8/31: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
• 9/1: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

• 9/3: Noon–5:00 PM
• 9/4: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Jury Selection – During jury selection, public seating cannot be guaranteed and will be available on a limited basis during this phase of the trial.

Overflow Room – A live video feed will be available in an overflow room. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Security Screening – Everyone entering the courthouse must pass through security screening. Please allow extra time for entry.

Courtroom Decorum – Visitors are expected to conduct themselves respectfully. Follow all directions from court staff and security personnel. Electronic devices must comply with court rules.
