Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Lieutenant McLeod and Deputy Stewart, recently visited Sheridan at Eastside to speak with senior citizens about the growing threat of online scams, fraud, and financial exploitation targeting older adults. During the presentation, they shared information on common scams affecting seniors, warning signs to watch for, and practical steps residents can take to protect their personal and financial information.

As scammers continue to develop new methods to target victims, education remains one of the most effective tools for prevention. We appreciate the opportunity to meet with residents, answer questions, and help empower our community to recognize and avoid fraudulent schemes. The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office is proud to support efforts that keep our community informed, protected, and safe.

School is officially out for the summer, and what better way to celebrate than bringing the community together!

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office Community Outreach Section joined students, parents, and staff at Trip Elementary School's End-of-Year Cookout in Grayson. Events like these are more than just food and fun. They are opportunities to create positive connections and remind our youth that their Sheriff’s Office is here to support them both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the classroom.

A big thank you to the faculty and staff at Trip Elementary School for the warm welcome and for allowing GCSO to be part of such a memorable day.
