⚠️ With the potential for severe weather tonight, take a few minutes NOW to make sure you're prepared:

✔️ Check the latest forecast
✔️ Ensure Wireless Emergency Alerts are enabled on your phone
✔️ Charge your phone and turn off "Do Not Disturb" if it blocks emergency notifications
✔️ Test your NOAA Weather Radio
✔️ Know where you'll go if a warning is issued
✔️ Keep a flashlight, sturdy shoes, and a change of clothes nearby

🟡 Watch = Be Prepared
Conditions are favorable for severe weather to develop. Stay aware of changing weather conditions, monitor forecasts, and know where you will take shelter if needed.

🔴 Warning = Take Action
Severe weather is occurring or imminent. Move to a safe location immediately and continue monitoring trusted weather sources for updates.

Thunderstorms will move into the region this evening and continue overnight. Severe storms are possible. Damaging wind is the main threat, though large hail and a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out. These storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours, resulting in localized flash flooding.

Damaging wind will be the main threat, although large hail and a few tornadoes will also be possible. The storms will also be capable of producing heavy downpours resulting in the potential for localized flash flooding.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late Wednesday afternoon and evening across east central Indiana into central Ohio. These storms, should they develop, will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes. A more widespread line of storms will move through eastern Indiana, west to central Ohio, and northern Kentucky later Wednesday evening and overnight, bringing damaging winds as the primary threat along with isolated tornadoes.

Thunderstorms can develop quickly and become dangerous with little warning. Heavy rain, damaging winds, hail, lightning, and even tornadoes are all possible during severe weather.

→Stay weather-aware by monitoring forecasts and having multiple ways to receive warnings.
→Know where you will take shelter before a storm arrives.
→Secure outdoor items and prepare your home for strong winds.

Remember: When thunder roars, go indoors! If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
