Wilson County Veterans Service Office acts as liaisons between veterans

and their families in obtaining benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Service officers assist veterans in filing service-connected disability claims with the VA. They also assist veterans in obtaining benefits relative to vocational rehabilitation, VA home loans, education, insurance, burial benefits and non-service connected pension benefits. Are you a veteran of a wartime period, or the widow of a veteran of a wartime period about to enter a nursing home? They may be able to assist you in obtaining a non-service connected pension from the Department of Veterans Affairs. Basically, the Service Officer can take care of veterans’ needs from their date of discharge until their date of death, and in many instances a Service Officer aids eligible dependents long after the veteran passes.

What an incredible experience! 🇺🇸

We had the honor of traveling to the Ga***rd Opryland Resort to participate in the Bi-Annual Veteran Resource Support Event. With more than 700 women Veterans registered, it was truly inspiring to see so many Veterans coming together to connect with valuable resources, support, and one another.

We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a meaningful event and to serve those who have so faithfully served our country. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible and to every woman Veteran who attended—we are honored to support you.

We had such a wonderful time welcoming The Hangout Spot, Inc. of Tennessee to the Wilson County Veterans Museum today! These amazing kids toured the museum, learned about the brave men and women who have served our country, and brought so much energy and excitement with them.

Each child received a welcome gift of patriotic bracelets and dog tags to remember their visit. One of the biggest highlights of the day was our trivia session, where challenge coins were awarded to those who answered questions correctly. It was great seeing everyone so engaged and eager to learn!

Thank you to The Hangout Spot for spending part of your day with us. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share our veterans’ stories with such a wonderful group of kids, and we hope to see you all again soon! 🇺🇸

Veteran in Need of Transportation

We are currently assisting a combat veteran who is in urgent need of a reliable, working vehicle. Having dependable transportation would help him get to appointments, employment opportunities, and regain stability in his life.

If you have a vehicle that you would be willing to donate, or if you know of someone who may be able to help, please contact our office as soon as possible at 615-444-2460.

Please share this post to help us reach as many people as possible. Together, we can make a real difference for a veteran who has served our country.

Thank you for your support! 🇺🇸
