Meet Cedar — the adventure buddy with a heart of gold! 🐾

Cedar is an 8 month old handsome Mountain Cur/English Shepherd mix with striking amber eyes, a goofy grin, and a tail that never stops wagging. This happy boy loves being outside, whether he’s exploring the yard, going for walks, or trotting beside you on your next adventure. He has an energetic spirit balanced with a sweet, affectionate personality that makes him just as happy soaking up attention from his favorite people.

Cedar is smart, eager to please, and always ready to make a new friend. His playful nature and gentle expression make him impossible not to love. He would thrive with an active family or person who can give him plenty of exercise, love, and opportunities to use both his brain and his paws.

After a day of fun, Cedar is more than ready to settle in for belly rubs and quality cuddle time. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into your life, Cedar may just be your perfect match.

Come meet Cedar and see how quickly he’ll steal your heart! ❤️

Be kind to Animal Welfare workers. It's not an easy job.

Myth Buster Monday: Mental Health Awareness 🐾💚

Animal welfare work is filled with love and joy… .but it can also be emotionally exhausting in ways people don’t always see.

❌ Myth: People who work or volunteer in animal welfare are “used to it.”
✅ Truth: Shelter staff, fosters, rescuers, and volunteers feel heartbreak deeply. Caring for vulnerable animals every day takes emotional energy, compassion, and resilience.

❌ Myth: Working with animals all day can’t really be stressful.
✅ Truth: Animal welfare teams regularly face neglect cases, medical emergencies, difficult decisions, and compassion fatigue — all while continuing to show up with kindness and care.

❌ Myth: Burnout only happens when people “aren’t strong enough.”
✅ Truth: Burnout happens when caring people carry heavy things for too long without enough support.

💙 This Mental Health Awareness Month, we encourage everyone to show a little extra grace to the people behind the scenes; the kennel cleaners, dog walkers, foster families, veterinary staff, cat cuddlers, front desk teams, and volunteers who keep showing up for animals every single day.

A kind comment.
A thank you.
A little patience.
It matters more than you know.
Because caring for the people who care for animals matters too.
