🎂 Happy Birthday, Mary Shelley! 🖋️

Born August 30, 1797, Mary Shelley changed literature forever when she introduced the world to Victor Frankenstein and his unforgettable creation.

Her groundbreaking novel Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus explored ambition, science, responsibility, and what it means to be human. More than 200 years later, her story is still inspiring readers, writers, filmmakers, and anyone who loves a good gothic tale.

Here’s to the woman who gave us one of literature’s most famous monsters. ⚡📚

Decisions 2026: Constitutional Amendments on the Ballot

What’s on the Ballot?

Three constitutional amendments will appear on Florida’s November ballot, and understanding what they could mean can be complicated. Join us for a nonpartisan presentation with the League of Women Voters of Tri-County to break down the proposals and explain their potential impact on state financial reserves, local property taxes, public services, and household finances.

Bernadette Aley, co-President of the League of Women Voters of Tri-County, will lead this informative session and help make the legal and financial details easier to understand.

Come learn the facts, ask questions, and prepare to make an informed decision at the polls.
