Did you know the library can come to you? Books by Mail is a free service for Lake County residents of all ages who are homebound or living in assisted care. Enjoy library materials delivered straight to your home through USPS at no cost. Returning items is just as easy simply send them back in the provided prepaid mailer.

To participate, patrons must live in Lake County and have a Lake County library card in good standing.

Applying is simple! Visit https://www.mylakelibrary.org/services/books_by_mail.aspx or email [email protected] to get started. You can return your application digitally, in person, or by mail. If you need assistance, please call us at (352) 728-9790 (option 2).

Whether you have a surplus of skeins or just a few forgotten tools, we invite you to bring any yarn, needles, hooks, and notions you would like to share with fellow crafters. You can drop off your donations at the library before the event or bring them with you on the day to trade for something fresh. ๐Ÿค

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with local makers, clear out your craft closet, and discover the perfect materials for your next project. No registration is required for this event.

Don't forget to keep the creativity going by joining our Crochet with Friends group, led by Paula Lee of Paula's Craft Shop, every Tuesday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM in Meeting Room A. We look forward to seeing what you create.
