"Whereas, the members of Emergency Medical Services teams are ready to provide lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week..."

During National EMS Week, the Lafayette County Commission proudly recognizes and thanks all EMS providers serving the citizens of Lafayette County. Your dedication, professionalism, and compassion make a difference every single day in moments when people need help the most.

Thank you to the representatives from Higginsville EMS and Lexington EMS for attending today’s proclamation signing. We are grateful for your service and commitment to our communities.

Thankful for the Hero Fund USA grant that allowed us to get much needed equipment for the department!

The 3rd Annual Leadership Conference is in the books!

Over the last 48 hours, I've had the chance to step back and reflect on our conference and what an awesome experience it was. A weekend full of learning, mentoring, and genuine camaraderie.

What stood out most was how quickly a group of individuals became a unified team. Within hours, we formed a fire department bond. We trained hard, trusted one another, and built an environment that truly fostered growth, where people felt safe to push themselves and improve.

At the start of the conference, I talked about the saying, "who sent me." Now reflecting on the weekend, I see it as - We're sending each other. Carrying with us the responsibility to honor the PAST; to educate, mentor, and inspire the PRESENT; and to shape a FUTURE that leaves a meaningful and positive impact.

Be safe and see you all soon!
