Travelers' Rest Connection

Travelers' Rest Connection This National Historic Landmark is the only archeologically confirmed Lewis and Clark campsite in the nation.

Used by the Bitterroot Séliš for thousands of years, the park also has a visitor center, museum and interpreters year round. Visitor Center/Museum hours: 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday - Saturday, noon to 4 pm Sunday. Please note that the park itself is open from 9 to 5 daily. The Visitor Center will be closed November 24, December 24 & 25, January 1. The Park Gates are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and close at 1pm on New Years Day.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of "A River Runs Through It." Don't miss seeing the remarkable woodblock Illustrations from the Pennyroyal edition of Norman Maclean's beautiful story. These and other works from the Maclean Family Illustration Collection are on display at Travelers' Rest State Park through May 3 (a short extension from our original closing date). Visitor Center Hours: 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday - Sunday.
