Ronald McDonald House Missoula

Ronald McDonald House Missoula When faced with a child's illness, life stops overnight and parents enter a world of fear and worry. Distance. Most families have to travel hours for treatment.

For parents who don't live close to the medical care their child needs, there is an added stress. Living expenses quickly add up. Long drives, worried siblings, sleeping in cars. Being far from family and friends. These are extra burdens no family should have to experience. Since 2006, RMHC of Western Montana has operated the Ronald McDonald House in Missoula, Montana, serving families of all inco

me levels and backgrounds, who must travel far from home with a sick child. The Ronald McDonald House is much more than just a place to lay your head at night. Our House provides comfort, support and resources for families with sick children just steps away from the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House in Missoula is situated on the campus of Community Medical Center. We have 12 private family rooms, a common area with a double-kitchen, living room, game room, play room, four laundry rooms, and a large outdoor play area. With the help of volunteers and donors, families feel at home with hot meals, a stocked pantry, toiletries, linens, towels, household supplies, laundry machines, hugs, high fives, and more. Our House is build on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their children - not where can they afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night. We believe that when a child is hospitalized, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine.

CHEERS TO OUR WATERING HOLE SPONSOR!

We are so grateful to welcome Martin Brower back as our Watering Hole Sponsor for the 20th Anniversary Bandana Ball!

As a longtime supply-chain partner to McDonald’s, Martin Brower is an important part of the McDonald’s family. But what means so much to us is the way their support reaches beyond the restaurants and right into Ronald McDonald House Missoula.

Throughout the year, Martin Brower generously donates products that help us care for families staying at the House. And when Bandana Ball rolls around, they’re right there beside us again.

Thanks in part to their generous support, guests can enjoy a hosted Watering Hole during Main Street Social - the perfect place to grab a drink, wander Main Street, enjoy the music and art, catch up with friends and settle in for a pretty special night.

But to us, this sponsorship is about so much more than what’s in the glass.

It’s about a partner who understands that caring for families happens in a hundred different ways. Sometimes it’s donated products at the House. Sometimes it’s supporting our biggest fundraiser of the year. And sometimes it’s simply saying, “We’re in. How can we help?”

Martin Brower does all of those things.

Thank you to the entire Martin Brower team for continuing to stand beside Ronald McDonald House Missoula and the families who call our House home while their child receives medical care.

We’re incredibly grateful to have you in our neighborhood, and we’ll raise a glass to that! ❤

MAIN STREET IS GETTING AN ART WALK.

We are so excited to celebrate L.A. Design of Missoula, our 2026 Bandana Ball Main Street Social Sponsor, and the incredibly talented Lynne Himes!

Lynne has been a longtime friend and generous supporter of Ronald McDonald House Missoula, and this year she is bringing her creativity, talent and incredible eye for art to ALL of Main Street.

Throughout the Main Street Social, guests will be surrounded by a special collection of work from two remarkable Western artists represented by LA Design.

Larry Pirnie Art brings the color, joy and unmistakable spirit of the West with his bright, playful paintings that simply make you HAPPY.

Nick Turner captures a different side of the West. His work explores horses, wide-open landscapes and the relationship between people and the places that shape us. His Western pieces are powerful, thoughtful and absolutely stunning.

Together, their work is going to help transform Main Street into the western art walk we've been dreaming about.

And Lynne has one more surprise for us...

One of Nick Turner's pieces will be part of the Bandana Ball LIVE AUCTION!

Which one? We're not telling quite yet. Stay tuned!

Lynne, thank you for sharing your time, your talents, the artists you represent and your heart with Ronald McDonald House Missoula. LA Design has shown up for our House in so many ways, and we are incredibly grateful to have you helping us bring Main Street to life for our 20th Anniversary Bandana Ball.

We can't wait for everyone to see what you're creating.

Join us September 18 to see the western art walk for yourself:

If you’ve been thinking about joining us for the 2026 Bandana Ball, this is your sign. Grab your tickets, gather your people, or reserve a Front Porch Table before they’re gone!

On Friday, September 18, we’ll fill the UC Ballroom with friends and neighbors for a night celebrating 20 Years of Family Stays at Ronald McDonald House Missoula.

And we have quite an evening planned!

🤠 Live music at The Main Street Social
🤠 Handcrafted cocktails
🤠 The Harper & Honey Custom Hat Bar
🤠 Leather branding
🤠 Colorful artwork by Montana legend Larry Pirnie

But Bandana Ball has never really been about the party.

It’s about the families who arrive at our door far from home because their child needs medical care.

💛 WISHLIST WEDNESDAY: Our shelves need a little help!

Sometimes the things that make the biggest difference are the simplest.

A bowl of cereal before heading to the hospital. A snack grabbed on the way out the door. Something easy to tuck into a bag for a long day beside a child’s hospital bed. Disinfectant wipes that help us keep our House clean and welcoming for every family who walks through our doors.

Right now, we’re running low on some of those everyday essentials, and with a busy House, they disappear quickly.

💛 Cereal
💛 Grab-and-Go Snacks
💛 Single-Serve Chips
💛 Disinfectant Wipes

They may seem like ordinary items, but to a family staying at Ronald McDonald House Missoula, they can mean one less thing to think about, shop for, or worry about during an already difficult day.

If you’d like to help, these are two easy ways:

💛 Shop our Amazon Wishlist and have items shipped directly to Ronald McDonald House Missoula: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/21W8AG1J43AEV?ref_=wl_share

💛 Shopping local? Pick up an extra box, bag or package while you’re at the store and drop it off right at the House! We’d be so grateful to see you.

Even one item makes a difference when our shelves are running low. Together, all of those cereal boxes, snacks, chips and wipes add up to something much bigger: one less thing for a family to worry about while they focus on their sick child.

Thank you for continuing to show up for our families. You help make this House feel like home. ❤️

Starting college with a heart for community. What a way to begin a new chapter!

As part of the Big Sky Experience, incoming University of Montana students partnered with Resonate Church for a Volunteer Day, and we were so grateful they chose to spend part of it with us at Ronald McDonald House Missoula.

They rolled up their sleeves and got to WORK! They cleaned and organized our garage, moved supplies into the pantry, cleaned kitchen cupboards, swept our parking lot and tackled plenty of other behind-the-scenes projects that make a BIG difference around our House.

But our favorite part?

They made time to play. ❤️

Some of our Super Siblings found new friends for a game of co****le, and when you're a kid staying away from home while your brother or sister receives medical care, getting to simply be a kid for a while matters a LOT!

There’s something pretty special about watching incoming college students begin their University experience by giving back to the community they’ll now call home.

To the Big Sky Experience students and Resonate Church volunteers - THANK YOU! You accomplished so much in just one day, but the kindness, energy and laughter you brought to our House may have been the very best part. ❤️

We’re awfully glad to have you as part of our Missoula community .❤

GOING ONCE... GOING TWICE... DOING A WHOLE LOT OF GOOD!

Live Auction & Auctioneer presented by The Drollinger Family Foundation

There’s nothing quite like the energy of the Bandana Ball Live Auction.

A little friendly competition. A few raised bid cards. Some incredible experiences up for grabs. And an entire room coming together to do something REALLY good for families. ❤️

This year, we are incredibly grateful to The Drollinger Family Foundation for sponsoring our Live Auction & Auctioneer and helping make this one of the most exciting parts of the evening!

Because while the bidding is FUN, what happens because of it is what really matters.

Every bid helps Ronald McDonald House Missoula provide a place for families to sleep, eat, do laundry, take a breath and simply be together while their child receives medical care.

And this year’s auction lineup is shaping up to be a GOOD one. We’re talking incredible Montana experiences, unforgettable getaways and a few surprises we’re not quite ready to give away yet!

So start stretching those bidding arms.

Thank you, Drollinger Family Foundation, for investing in Ronald McDonald House families and helping us turn a little friendly competition into a whole lot of good.

We are so grateful to have you alongside us as we celebrate 20 Years of Family Stays at this year’s Bandana Ball! ❤️

THE HOUSE BUILT BY COMMUNITY

Presented by Quality Construction

For 20 years, Ronald McDonald House Missoula has been a place for families to land when a child needs medical care far from home.

But a House like this is never built by one person or one organization.

It takes a community.

Donors. Volunteers. Businesses. Hospital partners. Friends. Families. People who show up, pitch in and believe that taking care of one another is simply what neighbors do.

This year, as we celebrate 20 years of Ronald McDonald House Missoula at our annual Bandana Ball, our friends at Quality Construction are helping us recognize the incredible community that has built, supported and sustained this House for two decades.

And we have something pretty special planned for the evening that brings The House Built by Community to life...

But you'll have to wait until September 18 to see it. ❤️

Thank you, Quality Construction, for helping us honor not only this incredible 20-year milestone, but every person who has played a part in making this House what it is today.

Because it may be our House...but for 20 years, it has belonged to this community. ❤️

Jesse and Vie spend their days taking care of Ronald McDonald House Missoula in so many ways. Jesse is our Family Services Coordinator, Vie is our Housekeeper, and both pour so much heart into making our House feel like home for the families staying with us.

So after a full week of caring for our House, you’d think they might want a Friday night OFF.

Apparently not.

Instead, they grabbed Tim and came right back! But this time, they weren’t here as staff. They were here as the Ballard family, spending their Friday night cooking dinner for our families through our Meals from the Heart volunteer opportunity. And there’s something pretty special about that.

After spending their workweek caring for the people inside these walls, Jesse and Vie chose to come back on their own time, with Tim by their side, to cook, serve and make sure our families had a warm dinner waiting for them after a long day.

Jesse, Tim and Vie, thank you for trading your Friday night plans for aprons, our Ron Don kitchen, and a whole lot of love served up for our families.❤

And Jesse and Vie, thank you for reminding us that, for you, caring for this House is so much more than a job.❤

We’re awfully lucky to have the Ballard family as part of our Ron Don family.

Feeling inspired by the Ballard family? You can bring a little of that same love to our Ronald McDonald House families!

Gather your family, friends or coworkers and sign up to spend an evening cooking dinner in our Ron Don kitchen, or send a meal for our families to enjoy after a long day.

Our Meals from the Heart calendar has open dates, and we would LOVE to fill them! Sign up here: https://www.TakeThemAMeal.com/AANF1320, or reach out to Teresa at [email protected] for more information. We’d love to have you at our table!

THE CATTLEMEN, SPONSORED BY STOCKMAN BANK

At Stockman Bank, they believe Montana communities are built by neighbors helping neighbors and by people who share the values that make our state such a special place to live, work and raise a family.

That sounds a lot like our Cattlemen. ❤️

This year, 25 Cattlemen have stepped up to carry 25 Ronald McDonald House family stories. They’re sharing their time and relationships, rallying their communities and raising critical funds for families facing some of the hardest days of their lives.

And somewhere along the way, they’ve also managed to turn it into one heck of a friendly competition.

But behind every dollar raised, every post shared and every bit of friendly banter is something much bigger: 25 men helping 25 families know their stories matter and that an entire community is standing behind them.

We are incredibly grateful to Stockman Bank, our Cattlemen’s Club Sponsor, for standing alongside these guys and helping us show what neighbors helping neighbors can truly look like.

Thank you, Stockman Bank, for investing in our Cattlemen, the families whose stories they carry and Ronald McDonald House Missoula. We are so grateful to have you in our corner. ❤

Meet the Cattlemen, read their family stories and help them reach their $60,000 collective goal: https://livemeld.com/cattlemen
