I got the chance to talk to our deck instructor, Jon Williams, yesterday and asked him about being a carpenter, his favorite tools, and what it means to him to share his knowledge. If you can’t tell from this video, Jon is a super cool guy and we are so lucky to have him teaching our workshop this weekend. 🔨🪚👷‍♂️

This past Friday was the United Way of Missoula County Day of Action, which is a day of volunteering and local community action. We had the pleasure of hosting Cushing Terrell and WGM Group, Inc., who did everything from building a wood storage rack to yard grading! They were a great help, plus we always love having so many people at the MUD site; everything feels so lively when that happens😁😁 Thanks to all the volunteers for your help!!!!❤️❤️🛠️🛠️

MUD is thrilled to offer our first ever Cob Wall Construction Workshop with our friends from Spiritwood Natural Building! In this course, you’ll learn the basics of cob construction including the materials and techniques used to build anything from garden walls to houses. We’ll work collaboratively over 3 days to build a wall on MUD’s site from the ground up. With simple materials like clay, soil and straw, a beautiful and one of a kind structure will come to life right at MUD, and be around for our community to enjoy for years to come! ☀️🌻🚧

Ready to take on wood carving by hand? Join us in MUD’s Spoon Carving Workshop at the beautiful Highlander Brewery to learn the ins and outs of this age-old practice! You’ll have the opportunity to test out your new skills by carving your own spoon to take home.

Join us for a Community Pint Night at the same time, thanks to our friends at Beer ! Registration is required for the workshop; the pint night is open to all.

We just added our 4,000th tool to our Tool Library inventory! Christian was gracious enough to let me watch the process of adding a new tool to our inventory, it was riveting!
