Missoula Urban Demonstration Project (MUD)

Missoula Urban Demonstration Project (MUD) MUD empowers people to build a more sustainable community through tool sharing and hands-on learning.

MUD started in 1981 as a way for neighbors to help each other out and learn some new skills along the way. Fast forward through massive expansion of the tool library, moving to a more central location out of some well loved houses and lots of love, hard work and dedication, that's when we reach today. Today we still have a passion for community building and sustainable living but we look a little

more industrial. Our upcycled shipping containers welcome members to an inventory of over 2,000 tools with which they can complete their projects. Plus we are conveniently located next to Home Resource for any additional supplies that you might need.

Had the pleasure of watching Cory from Zoo City Apparel go to work making our NEW SHIRTS the other day.🤩🤩

These shirts are hot off the press and look super cool. Get a “Power Tools to the People” or “I Beelieve in Sustainability” shirt in blue or pink before they’re all sold out! Best beelieve I got mine on already - and it’s not coming off👕👕👕 C’mon you know you want it.
