Join Sugar & Skills Studio for a fun and interactive introduction to cupcake decorating! In this live demonstration, participants will learn the basics of buttercream piping and cupcake decoration. Attendees will learn how different piping tips work, how to control piping pressure, and how simple techniques can transform cupcakes into beautifully decorated treats.

On June 13 from 2 to 5 PM, drop in and transform discarded books into one of a kind works of art or discover some great free reads to take home. Show off your creativity while giving old books new life through altered book art. All ages are welcome, and materials and enthusiastic support will be provided. The Friends of the Library will award three ribbons for their favorite altered book entries at the Western Montana Fair Western Montana Fair, along with a $50 gift prize for the overall winner.

Thank you Missoula Current for highlighting RAD! In partnership with the Missoula Municipal Court, the Pretrial Assistance to Support Success program, the library's Resource Access Day brings free services such as housing support, legal help, vaccinations and immunizations, medical and mental health care, community clothing closet, and free lunch to neighbors in need!

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, join Missoula Public Library and the Norman Maclean Literary Festival in reading Norman Maclean’s A River Runs Through It as a Missoula County Read. Starting June 18, come to the library and get a  [👉🏼] free copy of the book along with accompanying discussion questions curated by librarians and organizers of the Norman Maclean Literary Festival. Find other community members who are reading the book and join together in discussion, considering what Norman Maclean’s work says about our community and the place we call home.
Copies of A River Runs Through It can be claimed at the Missoula Public Library, downtown branch on Level 1. Available while supplies last. 
This program is brought to you with the support of the library, the Norman Maclean Literary Festival, and The University of Chicago Press.
