On June 4 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Level One of the library come experience a well-being concert, and help create an immersive, community centered experience. This free concert blends live music with moments of mindfulness, meditation, and simple art making.

The 2026 Summer Learning Program at Missoula Public Library invites readers of all ages to Unearth a Story. From dinosaurs and fossils to history, science, and hands-on discovery, this year’s Summer Learning Program encourages curiosity, exploration, and plenty of reading along the way. Children, teens, and adults can take part in reading challenges, programs, and activities all summer long. This year’s theme, Unearth a Story, celebrates curiosity, imagination, and the treasures we find when we read, learn, and explore together. Starting June 1, patrons can pick up a printed reading log for young readers or Library BINGO card for teens and adults. Complete your log for a chance to win wonderful prizes! On Saturday, May 23 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Imaginarium on Level Two join award-winning author Janet Fox for a special visit and story time! She will read from her latest book, The Mystery of Mystic Mountain, chosen as the 2025 Statewide Read for Montana Youth, and a Great Reads from Great Places pick for the National Book Festival of the Library of Congress 2025. Fact & Fiction will be here selling copies of a selection of Janet’s books.

Learn the basics of bird watching with guidance from library staff and members of the Feminist Birding Club. Participants will explore helpful birding tools, practice observation skills, and learn how to identify the birds they see.
Missoula Public Library received the Flight Path programming honorarium from Spark of Science@ My Library. This program is part of the Flight Path programming series.
Participants of all ages are welcome. Meet on Level One near the Makerspace.
