In the heart of downtown Great Falls, the historic Baatz Building is nearing the finish line on a major transformation—one that not only preserves more than a century of local history but also provides much-needed housing for some of the community's most vulnerable residents.

Homeword and NeighborWorks Great Falls recently received approval of the Historic Preservation Certification for the Baatz Block Apartments, a milestone that confirms the project qualified for federal historic rehabilitation tax credits.

Members of our staff and board had an amazing Saturday celebrating Missoula Pride! 🌈 It was an honor to march alongside our partners at the Missoula Organization of REALTORS and table at the festival to support the LGBTQI+ community.

We believe everyone deserves a safe, healthy and affordable place to call home, and we remain committed to working toward homes for all.

Our office is closed today in observance of Juneteenth, but this isn’t a day off for our staff—it’s a day on. We’re spending the day learning together as part of our ongoing anti-racism work as an organization.

Each year, our team attends the Montana Black Collective’s Juneteenth Celebration at Fort Missoula, and we’re honored to be there again today. We encourage our community to join in, reflect and celebrate Black freedom and resilience.
