The Supreme Court just allowed the Trump administration to restart a system that could wrongly flag eligible Americans as noncitizens and put their right to vote at risk.
In a 6 - 3 decision, the Court allowed the expanded SAVE database to resume checking voter citizenship using Social Security and other federal records.
The problem here is that those records aren't always accurate.
Eligible voters, including naturalized citizens, have been incorrectly flagged as noncitizens because of outdated or incorrect records.
With November 3 midterms coming up, there are serious concerns that eligible voters could be removed from voter rolls.
Please remember to keep checking your voter registration as we get closer to the Midterms.
