Why SWCC Crews Are Just as Deadly as the SEALs They Carry.

South Korea's K2 Black Panther, undercuts Germany's Leopard 2A8 on weight (61 tons vs. 68-71 tons), crews with 3 men thanks to an autoloader instead of 4, and packs a 120mm smoothbore with adjustable suspension. 🎮
But what actually sold Poland was speed: 180 K2s delivered in just over three years, with a second 180-tank order (116 K2GF, 64 K2PL) now building locally at Bumar-Łabędy, through 2030.

Poland runs K2, Leopard 2, and M1A2 Abrams side by side on shared battlefield systems. Norway still bet on Leopard. Romania, Egypt, and Morocco are weighing the K2 next.

Turns out the tank that wins is the one that actually arrives 🛴

99 ships. Then 110. Now 122. The U.S. Navy's blockade on Iran keeps growing! ⚓

USS Boxer leads the pressure campaign, an 844-foot amphibious assault ship carrying the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, F-35B Lightning IIs, MV-22 Ospreys, and UH-1Y Venoms. USS Portland, USS Comstock, and the destroyer USS Rafael Peralta round out the group patrolling the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf of Oman. In July, they boarded the tanker M/T Wen Yao, the kind of stop that's become routine as CENTCOM's numbers climb week over week.

No shots fired. Just steel in the water, redirecting commerce away from Iranian ports one ship at a time. 122 and counting 🚢

Forget years of paperwork. This December, the Pentagon just wants to see whose laser actually works ⚡

JIATF-401 is staging a directed-energy shoot-off at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, commercial lasers and microwave systems against small drones, with up to $200 million in contracts for the winners. Boeing's Compact Laser Weapon System and AeroVironment's LOCUST X3 are both showing up. LOCUST X3 already burns through Group 1-3 drones at 20-35+ kW for less than $5 a shot, and just landed a separate $464.8M Army deal to scale production.

Brig. Gen. Matt Ross wants companies building lasers "more like" commercial hardware cheaper to maintain, faster to field.

No prototypes gathering dust. Just a shootout, and a check waiting 💰

Why This Missile Dives Straight Onto a Tank's Weak Spot

Why burn a precision missile on a radar site when a disposable drone can do the job?

The British Army just paired its M270A2 rocket launchers with Nyan, a jet-powered attack drone from BAE Systems' Callen-Lenz. Nyan launches off a pneumatic catapult, cruises at 137 mph, and reaches past 155 miles carrying a 44 lb payload, hunting command posts, radar sites, and logistics hubs so missiles stay reserved for targets that need them. 🇬🇧

It's already in service with 26 Regiment, Royal Artillery, and proved itself in Estonia's Exercise Spring Storm. The logic comes from Ukraine: drones do the sensor-to-shooter work, missiles finish what matters. Same launcher, same crew, a cheaper trigger.

An MLRS from the '80s just learned a new trick.

A shipment of F-35 parts was supposed to land at a U.S. repair depot. It landed in China's hands instead. 📦

The pieces, a canopy and weapons-bay door with radar-absorbing coating, came off Royal Australian Air Force jets bound for U.S. inspection. The shipment detoured through South Korea and surfaced in Hong Kong, Bloomberg reports. The F-35 Joint Program Office confirms a "shipment issue"; the detour is unexplained.

Officials downplay the danger. Australia's Defense Minister says the parts weren't "technologically sensitive." Lockheed calls them "low exploitation risk," being unserviceable. Two GAO reports flagged the gap: Pentagon tracking is incomplete, Congress now briefed.

The jet wasn't compromised. The paper trail was. 🇦🇺

Buying a weapon is easy. Building it yourself is the real flex… That's Japan's move with Skyhammer, Britain's low-cost drone interceptor from Cambridge Aerospace. 🇯🇵

Tokyo isn't just placing an order, it wants a production line on Japanese soil, with local suppliers making components before the Ministry of Defense even signs off. The interceptor: 37 lb, 435 mph, a 19-mile range, dual-band radar seeker, reload under a minute, built to knock down Shahed-style drones without burning an expensive surface-to-air missile.

The UK locked in its own buy back in April and proved the concept in a Jordan trial in May. Japan's version of the pitch: keep the supply chain, and the jobs, at home.

Buy the missile, keep the factory 🔧
