Mission

The U.S. Army Cadet Command partners with universities to recruit, educate, develop, and inspire Senior ROTC Cadets to commission officers of character for the Total Army; and partners with high schools to conduct JROTC to develop citizens of character for a lifetime of commitment and service to the nation. This past weekend the Seniors conducted a two Battle Staff ride to Crown Point, Fort Ticonderoga, and Saratoga Battle Field. The weather was perfect, and it proved a great way to start the year…walking in the footsteps of those who accomplished what no one thought they could, and changed the world.

What has the Mohawk Battalion been up to???

• CONTRACTING - We contracted 4 new cadets , Coniker, Yahn, Kelly and Shepard! Congrats to your big accomplishment, GO ARMY!

• 9/11 Stair Run - Cadets within the battalion rucked a total of 14 laps up and down approximately 2,000 steps in honor of both the sacrifices and lives lost on 9/11.

• Battle Staff Ride - Our MSIV’s conducted their Battle Staff Ride to Crown Point, Fort Ticonderoga and Saratoga to learn more about both tactical mindfulness, the humility of leadership and our nations military history.

In remembrance of the those we lost on 9/11. This past Friday Cadets from the Mohawk Army ROTC Battalion arrived before 0530, completing 7 laps (over 1,000 steps) with 35 # rucks. The same team paused for a moment of silence and then completed the additional 1,000+ steps with our Joint Service brothers and sisters, matching the height of the World Trade Center.

🩺☤♡ Future Army Nurses in action! 🩺☤♡

Cadets Elizabeth Howell ( left; Norwich University), Norman Vitale (center; Siena University) and Ryan Massengale (right; Gannon University) particpated in the "Crashing Patient" clinical lecture and patient simulation presented by the Madigan Consolidated Education Division at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The training provides Nurse Cadets with hands-on experience in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary healthcare operations as part of their four-week Nurse Summer Training Program ( ).

This clinical training opportunity is typically offered to nursing cadets between their junior and senior years. It provides real-world experience that most nurses do not receive until after graduation.

Congratulations to the Mohawk Battalion's newest 2LTs on graduating and commissioning into the United States Army! 🇺🇸🫡 The ceremony, held on May 16, 2026 at Siena University, culminated years of discipline, sacrifice, commitment and hard work. Surrounded by family, friends, Cadre, mentors and fellow cadets, our newly commissioned Army Officers were recognized for their accomplishments and the responsibility they now carry forward as the Army's newest leaders.
