The good news? When detected early, the five-year relative survival rate exceeds 99%.

🦌 Hey, Hunters! While You’re Hunting Deer, the Ticks Are Hunting You! πŸ‚

Don’t let ticks tag along on your next hunting trip! Protect yourself from tickborne illness this hunting season with these simple precautions:

πŸ₯Ύ Treat your gear and clothing with permethrin before heading out.

🧦 Wear light-colored clothing to make spotting ticks easier.

🧴 Use EPA-registered insect repellents to help keep ticks away.

πŸ’¦ Shower after your hunt to wash off unattached ticks and make checking for ticks easier.

πŸ•΅ Do a thorough tick check on yourself and your gear after every hunt.

🎯 Stay safe, stay alert, and don’t let ticks ruin your hunt!

A mammogram to screen for breast cancer is recommended every other year for all females from age 40 until age 74. Your risk for breast cancer increases as you age even if you do not have a family history of the disease.

The NYS Cancer Services Program offers free breast cancer screening for eligible, uninsured NYS residents. Those eligible can also find help for follow-up tests and treatment.

Do you know that measles looks like a bad cold when it starts before the rash breaks out?

You can prevent a potentially serious and lengthy illness by making sure you and your loved ones are fully vaccinatedβ€”that means two doses of MMR.

You can check your status with your healthcare provider and get caught up if needed.
